In this episode, I share some of the answers I finally learned from God about those Great and Mysterious Things of which He spoke in Jeremiah 33:3. We start with clues He gave me from His Treasure Map called The Bible.

You know, usually when I make these videos I blab a lot in my descriptions. I'll shut up this time, no blabbing necessary. The lyrics are pretty clear. I will say, though, that this song is from Hillary Scott's album "Love Remains", which is a must-have. Trust me.

Alisha Sands was taken aback when her son, Zayde, was sent home with letter from his teacher saying that using your left-hand for tasks and writing was evil. Zayde is a left-handed 4-year-old who was forced to write with his opposite hand. His mother couldn't believe anyone would say such horrible things about her sweet son and she's making sure other community members are aware of the issue.

An 8-year-old boy is being called a hero after he helped his mother fight off a wannabe kidnapper who tried to snatch his infant brother. This protective young man called 911 after a woman near his elementary school tried to grab hold of his 2-year-old brother. Thank goodness for his brave actions during this scary time!

Grace Key is an honorary member for Calhoun High School's cheerleading squad. Grace, who has Down Syndrome, loves being a part of the team. But during the first football game of the season, she was forced to sit on the bench and was not allowed to participate on the field. When town members heard about this, they immediately jumped into action.

This mother wanted to teach her daughter some important life lessons. So she took a simple pineapple and taught her daughter about stand up and be brave in the real world. What a powerful story!

Robin and Joe Nalvanko recently embarked on a rocking climbing trip in Bellevue State Park in Fairfax County, VA. But things quickly took a dangerous turn when a rock Joe was holding onto became dislodged. The rock would've hit his wife, Robin, if Joe hadn't intervened. What a heroic act!

After 9/11 chef Rob decided he wanted to use his training and time to say 'thank you' to the heroes who risk their lives to save us. So he started volunteering feeding firefighters on his own time. The firefighters he loves wanted to thank chef Rob for all he does so they contacted Kleenex for a bit of help. And seeing these firefighters surprise Rob with the cookbook he'd always dreamed of getting published had me reaching for tissues. What an incredible 'thank you'!

During this terrible thunder and lightning storm this man looked at his window to see a gentlemen stuck in the rain when his electric wheelchair stopped working. He went to put on his shoes but before he could finish he realized his neighbor had already come to the man's aid. Seeing this Good Samaritan push this stranger through the rain up a hill is truly enough to restore your faith in humanity!

Micah got the ability to leave his Army base a little early, so he decided to surprise his momma. And seeing her face as she stares in disbelief at her son home to see her made my heart skip a beat. What a beautiful way for this soldier to surprise his momma!

After the recent flood in Louisiana people are left stranded and homeless and many had to leave their pets behind to find shelter. But volunteer rescuers Mike Anderson and Darrell Watson refused to let anyone be left for dead and spent their time searching the abandoned houses for anyone left. And seeing them come across this tiny puppy clinging to a fence made my heart leap for joy. This sweet dog's guardian angels showed up just in time!

Ben Thomas and Kelly Boardman had been dating for over 3 years. And today, Ben decided to take the next step and propose. But this surprise engagement was a treat for everyone as Ben and Kelly shared an Irish dance before he got down on one knee...stunning Kelly. What a sweet moment!

Hillary Scott is the lead singer for the group Lady Antebellum. She took a timeout from Lady Antebellum to record a side project with her family (mother, father, and sister.) It's all country-tinged Christian music. The name of the album is "Love Remains", and every cut on the album is excellent. I highly recommend it. Here's a video I made for the song "Safe Haven", written by Hillary Scott, Jimmy Fortune, Sydni Perry, and Bill Whyte.

From her 2012 album "I Choose Jesus", this is Moriah Peters singing "Well Done." I don't usually like "catchy" songs like this, but this one is infectious. Perhaps because of the theme; my goal is to live a life so that when my time is up I will hear Jesus tell me "well done good and faithful servant."

This video includes a few pictures of people from my church, including my wife, on mission trips. A couple of other missionaries from Guatemala and Serbia are included. I'm even in there working in the audio/video booth.

Anyway, this song is about service and outreach. About humility. About the Great Commission, showing the world His love.

We all have different histories of our relationship with God over the course of our lives. Some never have a relationship ship at all. Others go for decades with no relationship, and then suddently eyes are opened. Others come to know God at an early age, and then drift away once high school, college, marriage, or career hit. Others live a roller-coaster experience, or yo-yo experience. For a period of time they are close to God, and then God is far away. No matter the experience, there is one constant: God has always been there and will always be there. If the intimacy of our relationship with God wavers, or doesn't exist at all, it's not because of God, it's because of us. This song is about the roller-coaster experience. Like the song says, no matter the history of our experience, he is watching, and he knows our name.

Hillary Scott is one of the co-lead singers of the group Lady Antebellum. This is the title song from her album "Love Remains" that she recorded with her family. It includes her father, her younger sister, and her Grammy-award winning mother Linda Davis.
