The Legal Historical proof is based on showing that something is true beyond reasonable doubt. The judge or jury reaches a verdict on the basis or the sufficiency of the evidence. Listen to Josh explain what this means.

Historical investigation with an honest inquiry will show that on the third day Christ was raised from the dead, but you can’t prove it scientifically. You can only show that as true through the Historical Legal approach to history.

When it comes to the Christian faith, we must apply the Legal Historical Method, looking at the evidence to come to a conclusion. Is there reasonable evidence to support that this is true or that it happened?

The scientific method is only usable with events that can be repeated over and over again. It is very limited. Christianity and the resurrection of Christ are outside the realm of scientific investigation.

It is a fallacy to say you can examine the Christian faith, the person of Jesus Christ, scientifically. Why? In this video, Josh explains the scientific method as it relates to proving Christianity.

There is a problem proving anything about a person or an event within history. There are two basic methods: the Modern Scientific Method and the Evidential Method. Listen to Josh explain these methods of scientific proof.

Many people believe the Christian faith is a blind faith, an ignorant faith. Studying the Christian faith, you will see that it is an appeal to knowledge, to truth. All throughout the Scriptures we are commanded to examine the truth, not to ignore it.

Christianity allows no discontinuity between faith and fact, between faith and truth. The facts and the evidence for Christ’s deity, for His resurrection, etc., are not some isolated, mythical facts that are non-historical.

Christ never asked anyone to believe blindly. Faith in Christ is based upon sufficient evidence, but not exhaustive evidence. So, the Christian faith is not a blind faith but rather an intelligent faith. Listen to Josh share how faith in Christ is a step into the light.

The value of faith is not in the one who is believing but rather the one who is believed in. The value of faith is not in the one trusting, but in the one who is trusted.

With Christianity, the emphasis is on what or whom you believe, not on the act of believing. Josh shares how Christianity is objective rather than subjective in this video.
