Check out this musical family’s stunning performance of the song ‘Well Done’ by The Afters.
‘What will it be like when my pain is gone
And all the worries of this world just fade away?
What will it be like when You call my name
And that moment when I see You face to face?’
What a wonderful rendition of this great song! The voices are incredible and blend so well together!
Trevor Drudge, one of the singers in the video, starts by saying how this song is dedicated to his Uncle Roger, who passed away on May 7, 2024, after living with cancer for a year.
“Roger, we miss you. But we know you ran your race well. And now you’re home. We dedicate this song to your memory,” Trevor says.
Trevor also shares in the caption of the video how his uncle was a faithful follower of Jesus and an inspiration to many people over the years. What a beautiful tribute to his beloved family member.
“The song, the harmony, the cadence, the message, the story. Most of all, the reminder of the promise 'well done'. A blessing, nothing less!” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video.
“What a powerful song! Thank you for blessing others with your gifts. Keep it up,” writes another person online.
‘Well Done’ is by The Afters, and one of the band members, Josh Havens, shares about the story behind the song.
“‘Well Done’ is a song I’ve had in my heart to write for years,” Josh says. “I lost my dad to cancer when I was young, and there’s this void that just is never filled in. Anybody who’s lost somebody that they love, they know what I’m talking about.”
Josh continues: “We only get a certain amount of time here. But, the impact that we have in this world can last way beyond the time that we have here. I hope this song is an encouragement to you if you’ve ever lost somebody that you love. I hope it will be a reminder of how important this life is and how we can make a difference for the kingdom, while we are here.”
We hope that you enjoyed this rendition of the song ‘Well Done’ today!
