Louis Armstrong's Captivating Live 'When The Saints Go Marching In' Performance

Take a look at this talented and dance-worthy performance. Louis Armstong’s captivating live ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’ performance.

Louis begins with a big smile on his face. He is dressed top notch with his incredible band behind him. Louis starts off by playing an amazing intro with his trumpet. It will cause you to dance along. Then, he steps up to the microphone and that familiar voice sings out. A beautiful background singer joins in. He has such a flare to the classic hymn. Joy is exhibited in Louis’ face, his smile radiates happiness.

Louis then highlights a soloist on the clarinet. He does a fantastic job. It is jazzy and entertaining. Then, the trombonist takes a solo, he has style and swag. Louis tells the audience that they have done a great job swing dancing. He then has the pianist take a bow, the bassist gets recognized, Louis takes time to honor each one of his bandmates. He seamlessly jumps back into the chorus of the song to end their show. The style will cause you never to think of the song in the same way again. The jazzy tune is catchy and encouraging.

Watching Louis take the stage as an opportunity to sing about the hope found in Jesus brings smiles to our faces. Louis is a top-level performer with such a big smile and a fun personality. He is entertaining and personable as he leads from the mic, but he is also humble and honoring to his bandmates and co-performers. We can learn from his attitude of teamwork that the body of Christ (the saints) is a family, and we work together to bring glory to God. Jesus is the one who unifies us together, and we will glorify Him in eternity.

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” Psalm 133:1

Family's Beautiful Rendition of 'Blessed Assurance' Will Touch Your Heart

Check out this moving moment of living room worship. A family’s beautiful rendition of ‘Blessed Assurance’ will touch your heart.

At the start of this precious video, a smiling family in a living room says hi to the camera. Then, one sweet girl introduces her name. The little children are adorable as the family prepares to start. The father is on the guitar, and the mother is on the piano. The littles join in with their shakers; one daughter plays the violin as a soloist. The dad leads the song, and the family follows him in unison.

It is so worshipful and authentic watching this family lead us in praising the Savior. Each interlude verse is done by the little girl on the violin. The others continue on the maracas and bells. There is something so wholesome and encouraging about listening to this family sing. It leads our hearts to praise the Savior.

Watching this family inspires our hearts as the generations come together to praise the Lord. Jesus came to bring salvation to everyone who believes in Him and that is the main calling for parents to raise up children who know His love for them and to teach them the gospel. These parents are modeling that in such a beautiful way by including their kids in the music that teaches about having confident salvation in Jesus. It is a blessing to see and hear them. No, this is not a perfect performance that is tuned and mastered by a producer, but this is an authentically beautiful and joyful song to hear and sing along with this family.

May we be encouraged in knowing that our voice and our small family moments of worship to our Savior are a stunning offering to the Lord.

“One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:4

Stunning Bluegrass Cover of 'Just A Closer Walk With Thee'

It is always exciting to hear a bluegrass twist on a classic hymn. Check out this stunning bluegrass cover of ‘Just A Closer Walk with Thee.’

The Fiddes Girls take the stage with confidence. They are on a simple stage with a wonderful wooden cross in the background. As they start playing their instruments, the lead singer begins to sing. She has a fun and pure tone. Each of the girls is a different age and works together to make catchy music with their instruments. As they do the first impressive interlude, the audience cheers.

The lead singer starts the second verse. She has a very intriguing yodel-type tone. These friends play, and the violinist (who is the youngest) plays beautiful instrumental solos. The crowd loves it every time. She has the courage and confidence to play with this group of older girls.

The lyrics to “Just a Closer Walk with Thee” shares:

‘Just a closer walk with Thee

Grant it, Jesus, is my plea’

This song inspires us to seek Jesus daily. There is great value in the walk of faith. Each day, we have an invitation from our Savior to be in a close relationship with Him, but we have a choice. We can often ignore this calling for lesser things that consume our thoughts and attention.

This upbeat song is filled with rich meaning. We can be encouraged and convicted by the lyrics. Hearing these young women play and sing this message motivates us that Jesus cares for us and He is worth pursuing every day of our lives. He is the best thing about living. He is our hope and we can know Him and be connected with Him deeply now.

“And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him.” Colossians 2:6

Moving Rendition of 'Because He Lives' by Musical Family

A beautiful musical family turned in a moving rendition of the beloved hymn "Because He Lives."

Anyone who said or believed that life is fair couldn't have been more wrong. In fact, it's often quite the opposite. People will frequently find themselves dealing with unfortunate and even tragic situations through no fault of their own. Some individuals even seem to be given more than their fair share of hardships and trials.

Dealing with and enduring these situations and circumstances will push people to their limits. Those deep, dark valleys may cause doubts to creep up in their minds, leaving them wondering where God is as they suffer and hurt. Some might even start questioning whether they have the strength or ability to continue forward, especially when more pain and hurt are very possible.

However, in a clip posted on YouTube, the members of the Cinereski family remind us of Jesus Christ's power, love and faithfulness. The family gives a wonderful performance of "Because He Lives." You will likely return to it whenever you're in a seemingly impossible situation where the outcome appears bleak at best.

The hymn's beautiful words accurately describe Jesus, who willingly gave Himself up and took our place, suffering and eventually dying on the cross. The words are perfect for those who may be going through something where the future is unknown and up in the air.

"Because He lives, I can face tomorrow

Because He lives, all fear is gone

Because I know He holds the future"

What powerful, moving words!

The song reminds us that Christ is still in control and on the throne. Nothing happens without His knowledge of the situation. And even amid life's many storms, He is still guiding and directing, offering comfort and shelter.

No one knows what tomorrow will bring, but Christ, as the song says, holds the future.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, said the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

The Petersens Captivate with Beautiful Bluegrass Tune 'Down That Dirt Road

Listen to this beautiful bluegrass tune that is called ‘Down That Dirt Road’ from The Petersens.

‘Skippin' rocks and jumpin' off that bridge down by the creek

I still feel the damp of that tall grass underneath my bare feet

Tossed me the keys to that old truck and taught me how to drive’

What a wonderful performance of this original song! The instruments and vocal harmonies sound amazing together, and the melody of the song is so pleasing to hear. And how very fitting that the band is singing the song ‘Down That Dirt Road’ on an old country dirt road.

A janitor from Indiana, Richard Goodall, dazzled the judges and the studio audience with his powerful rendition of “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” on America’s Got Talent.

The Lord has blessed all of us with different skills, talents and abilities. He expects us to use those gifts to bring glory and honor to His name. I mean, what good is a gift if it’s never going to be used? If that is the case, we might as well return it.

Also, because of the Lord’s generosity with His gifts, talent can and does come from anyone and anywhere, leading to some big surprises at times. For that reason, shows like America’s Got Talent, The Voice and American Idol remain so popular. People enjoy seeing others who may have been overlooked get an opportunity and succeed.

One of those people who blew everyone away with his first audition was Richard Goodall. His performance of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” took the internet by storm, and his audition went viral. It was absolutely fantastic!

Now, Richard has returned to the America’s Got Talent stage. This time, he covered a Michael Bolton classic, “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You.” Once again, Richard thrilled the audience and the judges with his powerful and stunning performance, showing off his beautiful voice.

It was a spine-chilling performance and one that you’ll want to watch and listen to repeatedly. Some might even argue that it was even better than his first appearance on the show.

When it came time for the judges to critique his performance, they once again showered Richard with compliments. However, Simon Cowell stated that he wasn’t crazy about Richard’s song choice but still believed that he could be the person who won the entire competition.

The Gardiner Brothers Dazzle with Awe-Inspiring Dance Through the Decades

The incredibly talented Gardiner brothers dazzle with their awe-inspiring, quick-footed dance routine through the decades.

Life is often an unpredictable series of events leading us to places and people we never would have imagined. But that’s part of what makes life worth living, right? We never know what will happen tomorrow, the next day or the next.

However, as random and unforeseeable as life can be, there are a few things that we can count on to happen, no matter what. Of course, as the old saying goes, those are taxes and, eventually, death. But there is one more that people often forget about, one that happens constantly, whether we notice it or not: change.

As ironic as it may sound, we can also count on change. It takes place all around us constantly. Many areas of our lives and culture change at a rapid pace. Fashion, television and politics continuously change, evolve and become something new.

As one video on social media shows, dance is another area that has undergone massive changes over the years. In the clip, the world-champion dancing duo The Gardiner Brothers shows how much dance and music have changed in the last six decades.

Matthew and Mike kick things off in the 1950s, dancing to “Rock Around the Clock” by Bill Haley & His Comets. Seconds later, the guys are in the 1960s, strutting their stuff to Tom Jones’s “It’s Not Unusual.”

Then, in moments, the guys and the viewers are transported to the 1970s. They show their fancy footwork to Earth, Wind & Fire’s beloved classic “September.” But no dance through the 1970s would be complete without incorporating a tune from the Bee Gees. The video continues up through the 2000s, including several beloved and iconic songs from those years.

As the music changes, so do the guys’ dance steps. They add popular moves during those years, making for an enjoyable clip.

Psalm 149:3 “Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises to him with the tambourine and harp.”

Dennis Quaid Heartfelt 'Life's Railway to Heaven' Cover Performance

Who knew that Dennis Quaid was so multi-talented? Check out Dennis Quaid’s heartfelt ‘Life’s Railway to Heaven’ cover performance.

At the start of this video, we see a confident musical side to Dennis Quad. He is performing in a dimly lit studio room with a band. He starts singing at the mic with a country-style voice, strapped onto his back with a guitar. His voice is unique. He then joins in with his guitar as he sings the chorus. Hearing him sing about the Savior Jesus from a stage is an unexpected treat.

The lyrics to the chorus sing out:

‘Blessed Savior, thou will guide us,

Till we reach that blissful shore.’

The band does an incredible instrumental interlude with Dennis. Each musician plays at a top level. The woman at the keys especially shines on her piano solo. Dennis picks back up the next verse, and you will be impressed with his gritty, southern voice. He reminds everyone of the hope of heaven that we have through Jesus.

It is always encouraging when celebrities use their large platforms to point others to Christ and share the gospel. A man as accomplished as Dennis Quaid has chosen to use his opportunity of having a following to point to them in ultimately following Jesus. He wants them to have the hope of heaven that he has in Christ. He has the right amount of drama and intensity. At the end of his performance, he smiles very big, proud to have sung such a classic hit from the 80s.

Whether we have large or small groups of people around us, how are we sharing the gospel of Jesus with them? Our testimonies matter just as much as Dennis Quaid’s. May his being unashamed remind us to live that way every day.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” Romans 1:16

Home Free Wows with A Cappella Cover of Bonnie Raitt's 'Something To Talk About'

The incredibly talented group of vocalists known as Home Free wowed with an a cappella cover of Bonnie Raitt's classic "Something to Talk About."

For some reason, people seem to enjoy talking behind others' backs. Gossip and rumors about others are activities to avoid, and the Bible even warns against spreading rumors and slandering others. The only words that come out of our mouths should be those useful in building one another up, not tearing each other down.

But what some people don't seem to realize is that most of the time, people know others are talking about them. When people believe they are gossiping in secret and the subject of the rumor will never find out, they are almost always wrong. People know and can sense when people are whispering about them. And also, no one likes someone who gossips.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Home Free, a talented a cappella group, performs a classic tune about gossip and spreading rumors: "Something To Talk About." The song was originally performed and recorded by the legendary Bonnie Raitt. Most people are likely familiar with it, having heard it dozens, maybe even hundreds of times.

"Let's give 'em something to talk about

Let's give 'em something to talk about

Let's give 'em something to talk about

How about love?"

Once again, the guys show they are massively talented musicians. They perform the entire song with the original instrument created by God Himself: the human voice.

Home Free's performance is so enjoyable that you can't help but hum or sing along. Even if you aren't a fan of the a cappella style of music or Bonnie Raitt's songs, you're still bound to like and appreciate this catchy and infectious performance.

Additionally, this is such a fun video. Everyone in the four-and-a-half-minute clip appears to be having an absolute ball.

Ephesians 4:29 "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
