Fear plays a major role in the life of a woman. No matter how confident she may appear on the surface, underneath she's really fearful of not being seen as beautiful, appreciated, or wanted. Being overlooked and invisible are at the heart of a woman's fears that shut down her longing to be seen as radiant on the inside no matter what she looks like on the outside.
Most men wouldn't readily describe themselves as afraid of anything. But when asked to honestly reflect on what's going on deep in their hearts, most will confide that there is a fear of being seen as inadequate that rules much of their decision making in their lives, because what a man fears becomes his master.
Women struggle with core fears different than men. A few of the unsettling fears that grip a woman's heart are: "Will any one see me? Am I beautiful? Will I ever feel secure?" Addressing the core terror of a woman's heart is vital for her to experience the joy and freedom in being a woman created in God's image.
Most men wonder if they have what it takes to meet the challenges of living as a man. Inadequacy is every man's battle. And no where is that battle more acute than in his relationships. Facing that core terror every day requires courage.
