On the second week of January 2012 strange sounds were heard and recorded all over the world. Some by amateur footage, news stations and others even during sports event broadcasts. The majority of them occured on Jan. 12th 2012. What were these sounds? And why do they sound alot like the Jewish shofar that is suppose to sound at the end of time? Are these warnings from heaven, or something else? Listen carefully and judge for yourself. Whatever it was, one thing can be said for certain; it was scary sounding, drives chills down your spine; and no one has been able to explain what it was or where it came from yet. Some say it may have been the earth's plates shifting, but that wouldn't be heard all over the earth, would it? And why does every account claim they heard the sound coming out of sky? Check it out, it's kind of creepy.

Why am I here on earth? Where did I come from? What am I worth? Do I have any intrinsic value? Do I serve a purpose? These are all fundamental questions. They are life's "big questions." How you answer these questions determines how you see yourself, the world around you and most importantly God. “But when the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, Why this waste?” – Matthew 26:8

The disciples considered Mary’s act in pouring out an expensive alabaster flask of ointment on Jesus as a waste . It was worth a year’s worth of wages. The disciples thought it would be a good thing to sell the alabaster flask and give the money to the poor. But the Lord doesn’t just want our good deeds as the disciples had in their concept. He desires us to waste ourselves on Him.

“What then brothers? Whenever you come together, each one has…” What does a New Testament church meeting look like? In a Christian meeting each one should have something of Christ to share with others, and each one should have the opportunity to share.
This is quite similar to a feast before God, and it is in this way that Christ indirectly and practically builds His church on the earth today (Matt. 16:18). EachOneHas.

Pastor Paul said, that it is fortunate that New Year's Day rarely falls on a Sunday. Many who stayed up last night to greet the New Year are in no condition to worship today. [Though I understand that a few could be heard this morning moaning, "Oh God....Oh God....Oh God..."] And then, of course there is football, the real religion of many in our land. New Year's Day is always a day of worship for the true football devotee. But here you and I are in the House of God. This, of course, is where we ought to begin a New Year, especially after celebrating Christmas and receiving A GIFT BEYOND DESCRIPTION!
