Young Trio Wows with 'Don't Worry Be Happy' on AGT

A young trio of talented musicians wowed the judges, the studio audience and likely many people watching at home with their terrific rendition of “Don’t Worry Be Happy” on America’s Got Talent.

Popular television programs such as American Idol, The Voice and America’s Got Talent allow individuals to chase and pursue their dreams. Perhaps, for whatever reason, they got sidetracked and never fully committed to pursuing that goal, or maybe they were overlooked and never had the chance to show their God-given talent.

Whatever the case, America’s Got Talent and similar programs are changing lives by bringing talented individuals to the attention of millions of people. Even young children with unique skills and gifts can show off their stuff and completely change the trajectory of their lives.

In a clip posted on YouTube, three young, incredibly talented musicians and siblings, Biko’s Manna, came from South Africa to show the four judges what they’ve got by performing “Don’t Worry Be Happy.” And what they have is a whole lot of talent!

It’s just seconds into their performance, and Simon Cowell is already won over. Howie Mandel even mentioned that he believes they have got what it takes to win the entire competition. The lead singer’s voice is outstanding—so pleasant and soothing—an angelic voice for sure.

Additionally, their stage presence for performers so young is unbelievable. The children all appear entirely at home performing on stage in front of hundreds of people and the show’s four judges. They don’t seem rattled or nervous in the slightest.

After singing the Bobby McFerrin classic, the children earned a standing ovation from everyone in the room, and rightfully so. It was an outstanding musical performance!

All four judges were extremely complimentary, showering them with one kind word after another.

Even if these kids do not go on to win the competition, they likely have won themselves an audience and followers.

Stunning Cover of Roy Orbison's 'Pretty Woman'

A band of experienced musicians who call themselves “Too Lazy to Gig” has just released a stunning cover of Roy Orbison's classic hit, ‘Pretty Woman.’ Despite their playful moniker, this group’s talent and passion for music shine brightly in every performance note.

The band's 'About Me' section humorously states, “We are a band of experienced musicians, too lazy to gig anymore! We get together in the studio once a month or so, turn on the mics and cameras, and record a tune. Hope you enjoy.” This unique approach to music creation is evident in their rendition of 'Pretty Woman', which stays true to Orbison’s original while adding their own distinct style and energy.

As you watch the video, it's impossible to miss the band's sheer love for performing, even if their audience is just the recording equipment. The band's chemistry is tangible, with each member effortlessly playing off the others, creating a seamless and joyful musical experience. Their passion is infectious; you can almost feel the energy of a live performance, surrounded by the excitement that only dedicated musicians can bring.

The lead singer’s vocals are a standout, capturing the smooth, rich tones that made Orbison a legend. The guitar riffs are sharp and precise, and the rhythm section keeps the groove tight and engaging. This performance not only pays homage to the original but also highlights the individual talents of each band member.

I love how God gives us gifts like the ability to sing or play music. When we use our gifts, we give Him all the glory in how He created us. Too Lazy to Gig’s cover of ‘Pretty Woman’ is a beautiful example, as their love for music and their God-given talents come together to create something truly special. It’s a reminder that even without a traditional audience, the joy of making music is a gift worth sharing. Share with a friend who loves this song as much as you do!

Benedetta Caretta's Incredible Cover of 'The Sound of Silence'

Benedetta Caretta’s incredibly haunting rendition of ‘The Sound of Silence’ by Simon and Garfunkel, performed on the edge of ocean waves, captivates the soul.  Benedetta’s life is a testament to the power of music and the passion of our unique God-given talents. Currently studying at the New York Film Academy, she has a rich background in both linguistic high school and jazz singing from the conservatory. Her talent first shone brightly in 2010 when she won the second edition of "Lo Canto" on Channel 5.

In her latest video, Benedetta stands serenely as the tide rolls in, each wave embracing her feet as she hits every soulful note. The scene is ethereal, with the natural beauty of the ocean perfectly complementing the depth of the song. As she sings, her voice draws you in, making you feel the profound emotion and timeless message of the lyrics. It's this emotional connection that sets her performances apart and makes them so captivating.

‘The Sound of Silence’ by Simon and Garfunkel is a poignant exploration of communication breakdown with its lyrics rich with poetic imagery and haunting metaphors. It delves into the isolation and disconnection prevalent we feel today. The song serves as a powerful reminder of the need for authentic connection we were created for.

‘Hear my words that I might teach you

Take my arms that I might reach you

But my words, like silent raindrops fell

And echoed in the wells of silence’

Benedetta’s career is a testament to her versatility and range, with notable collaborations that span various genres. She has shared the stage with international stars like Michael Bublé, Hayley Westenra, Katherine Jenkins, and David Foster, showcasing her ability to adapt to different musical styles. Her 2019 collaboration with HAUSER, the cellist of 2Cellos, further showcases her versatility and range.

Watching Benedetta sing ‘The Sound of Silence’ by the ocean, it’s clear how God-given talents can transcend and touch hearts deeply. Her performance is not just a cover but a heartfelt homage to the song’s themes of communication, isolation, and the longing for meaningful connection. As she sings, she reminds us of the beauty and power of using our gifts to honor and glorify their divine origin. Thank God for the ability to sing, write, and connect with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ!

The Clark family band’s awe-inspiring cover of The Beatles’ ‘We Can Work It Out’ will have you dancing right out of your seat! Meet the Clark family, whose heartwarming performances have been spreading joy across the internet. Led by Colt, a full-time musician, and Aubree, a homeschooling mom and photographer, this talented clan includes three children who join their parents in making music magic.

Amidst the pandemic's uncertainty, the Clarks found themselves with unexpected free time when Colt's usual seven gigs a week came to a halt due to shelter-in-place orders. Undeterred, they harnessed their energy into something positive. Colt and Aubree began filming daily music sessions with the kids, a creative way to stay connected with distant loved ones and keep their spirits high.

What started as a simple way to share moments with family and friends soon blossomed into something much bigger when they decided to make the videos public. They have been bringing a joy that resonates in the hearts of fans ever since! Their rendition of ‘We Can Work It Out’ by The Beatles is just one example of the family creating joy in their home and bringing it to their fans. It’s not just the music; and it’s the happiness displayed on their faces. You can’t help but smile when their daughter, dressed in a Shrek t-shirt, bops her head to the sound of her father’s voice as her brothers keep time with their tambourine and guitars.

Elderly Couple Dazzles with Dance to Sam Cooke's 'Cupid'

Check out this adorable video of this fun married couple. This elderly couple dazzles with dance to Sam Cooke's 'Cupid.'

Larrie and Connie Beers know how to put on a show. In this video clip, the couple shares a dance to Sam Cooke’s ‘Cupid.’ With the lights down low and blue, red, and green lights flashing across the ceiling, Larrie and Connie begin their routine. Larrie starts to shuffle his way forward as Connie rocks the walker. Larrie turns and then faces his bride. The two are beaming at one another. They have a genuine love for each other and enjoy dancing together.

The chorus sings:

‘Cupid, draw back your bow

And let your arrow go

Straight to my lover's heart for me

Nobody but me’

What the couple may not even realize that they are doing is modeling an example of a Biblical marriage. This is a marriage that is long-lasting and committed. Connie gives a little sass with her shoulder moves, and Larrie grooves towards his bride. Then, he romantically grabs onto her hand, and the two swing-dance with one another. It is adorable! They are so in love and so vibrant for their age. They tap their legs out left and right and move to the music.

They each have their own unique style, but they are also a pair. This is a reminder for other marriages. We are each unique individuals, but we are also purposeful in our oneness with our spouses. This song reminds us that love like this is for one person only. Marriage is a wonderful gift that God has created for a husband and wife to thrive. This couple is doing that and shining for all the world to see that age does not eliminate love for one another.

“Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” Matthew 19:4-6

Gardiner Brothers Amaze with Mesmerizing Dance to AC/DC's 'Thunderstruck'

The incredibly talented Gardiner Brothers have once again amazed audiences with a mesmerizing and quick-footed dance routine to AC/DC’s beloved classic “Thunderstruck.”

Dance has to be the most challenging art form to perfect and master. Both painting and filmmaking require talent, an eye for detail, an extensive amount of time and patience. Anyone who has worked on a movie or television show or attempted to complete any artwork understands that statement to be 100 % true.

However, dance takes things one step further (no pun intended). To be even a moderately adequate, passable dancer requires everything that painting and filmmaking do. But dance is a very physical activity requiring much movement and coordination. One must be a very athletic person in order to become a dancer. A clumsy and uncoordinated individual probably won’t succeed in the world of dance.

That is precisely what always makes the Gardiner Brothers’ dance routines so mesmerizing and captivating. Those two young men move their feet and legs at a rapid-fire pace and always do so in perfect synchronization with one another. They are seemingly never out of step with the other.

In a clip posted on social media, Mike and Matthew show off their fancy footwork again, this time set to the AC/DC classic “Thunderstruck.” Anyone familiar with the tune knows how energetic, upbeat and fast-paced that song is and that guys move their feet and legs in a way that perfectly matches the song’s tempo.

The guys move along the sidewalk, with the famous Sydney Opera House behind them. In the background, viewers can see a crowd of people behind the guys capturing the captivating performance on their phones.

The Gardiner Brothers are supremely talented individuals, and this video once again confirms this. It’s a routine that you’ll want to watch repeatedly.

Psalm 149:3 “Let them give praise to his name in the dance: let them make melody to him with instruments of brass and corded instruments of music.”

Family Band's Stellar Performance of CCR's 'Down On The Corner'

An incredibly talented family band put on a stellar cover performance of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s classic “Down on the Corner.”

Music, like fashion, is constantly changing. Bands and musicians are always trying different sounds to stay current with the public’s preferences. Those who do not adapt to what the public and their audience want will likely be left behind.

However, some bands, very few, are exceptions to that rule. That’s how you can know and identify when a particular band or song is a classic. Years after a tune was initially released, it’s still just as popular as the day it first hit the radio.

One of those bands that has produced several classic songs was Creedence Clearwater Revival. The band and its songs are so beloved that they are often known and referred to by three letters: CCR.

One of CCR’s most beloved songs is “Down on the Corner.” In a clip posted on YouTube, a family band, The Clark Family Creative, covered that song, which is an outstanding cover. Even those who are diehard CCR fans are sure to love this family’s awe-inspiring and spectacular rendition.

That song’s chorus is one that, once you hear it, it’s stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

“Down on the corner, out in the street

Willy and the poor boys are playin’

Bring a nickel, tap your feet”

They all sound absolutely fantastic. Dad and the young lady, who stands at the microphone and is a ball of energy throughout the clip, have terrific voices. The two young men, one on the guitar and the other banging on the drums, are also clearly musically gifted.

They sound this good while sitting in their living room, making their performance even more noteworthy. Three members of the family band even remain seated during their performance.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Young Bee Gees Cover Bob Dylan Classic 'Blowin' In The Wind'

Check out this clip of the Bee Gees—younger than most of us remember—as they sing Bob Dylan’s 1962 Classic “Blowin’ in the Wind.”

For many, when we think of the Bee Gees, we recall the video of the three long-haired and necklaced brothers strutting through the streets of a deserted and dilapidated city. They’re singing ‘Staying Alive.’ Barry’s full, fluffy hair blows in the breeze. Maurice wears a broad-collared shirt with the first few buttons undone, and twin Robin wears a black vest over an orange t-shirt. That’s the video we remember!

This one goes a little further back. While the familiar video was filmed in 1977, this clip is from an appearance that The BG’s made on Australian television on August 19, 1963! Born on the British Island Territory of Isle of Man, the family moved to Australia in 1958. Here, Barry was 16 years old, and his brothers were 13. Even at those young ages, their talent was evident

Robin sits at the rear, Maurice is in the middle, and Barry sits in front. The three are dressed in slacks, dress shirts, ties, and plaid vests. They wear BG pins on their chests. Originally, they were simply The BG’s, representative of Barry’s initials as well as two other friends, Bill Goode and Bill Gates. Later, the name evolved into the Bee Gees, as in the Brothers Gibb.

It really is fun to watch the young brothers. The age difference between Barry and his siblings seems significant at this stage of life, though it is only three years. Maurice seems to be the more serious of the twins, and Robin is more expressive. Their three voices blend perfectly!

There are over 800 comments regarding the video. Many people remark on the beautiful harmonies they produce. Several note Robin’s charisma and personality. And a great number expressed their sadness and sympathy for Mrs. Barbara Gibb; she outlived three of her four sons. Maurice, Robin, and Andy, the youngest of the Gibb brothers, died at the ages of 53, 62, and 30, respectively. Barry is now 77 and has been married to wife Linda Gray for nearly 54 years.

None of us know where life will lead, and surely, the Bee Gees had no idea where their lives would take them when they covered Bob Dylan’s song all those years ago. The Brothers Gibb went on to sell nearly 220 million records and win 10 Grammy Awards. We are blessed because that single song is just one of so many wonderful musical moments the group gave the world!

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

Senior Couple Rocks the Dance Floor to 'Long Tall Sally' by Little Richard

The music of the 50s is still swinging today. Senior couple rocks the dance floor to ‘Long Tall Sally’ by Little Richard.

Little Richard is a classic singer and performer. From his smooth dance skills, amazing voice, and suave style, He was the full package for the music industry. In this adorable clip, a precious senior couple is showing that they still have the moves to ‘Long Tall Sally.’ Even in a walker, the wife is on beat and dancing incredibly. The husband is kicking his feet, doing a form of step-ball-change. They raise their arms and groove.

The two are very entertaining to watch. They are just enjoying an evening in their living room and decide to invite us in on the fun. Their routine is well thought out and fun. The video has gone viral for obvious reasons because not only does this couple represent an exciting musical era, but they are showing that their marriage has lasted and they are still dancing together. It is a sweet reminder to everyone that no matter what the age, we all can continue to grow in our marriages and relationships around us. They have a loyalty that has remained over time.

God shows us this kind of relationship. He is the perfect model for a long-term covenant, and he is full of adventure. When we have accepted Him as Savior, Jesus is still dancing with us no matter what age and leading us on. If you feel like you are out of touch with your youth and the joys of dancing, remember that you can still carry a youthful spirit. You can celebrate that Christ has made you alive, and you can dance in your heart even if you can no longer move with your body. We all can learn to laugh and dance in His presence because we are secure in that love.

“Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp. For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.” Psalm 149:3-4

Kids' Amazing Rendition of 'Here Comes The Sun' by The Beatles

A group of talented young children showed off their stunning musical gifts when they played a fantastic rendition of “Here Comes the Sun,” a song made famous by The Beatles.

Throughout history, a handful of musicians and bands have had a massive and lasting impact on music. They’ve either helped change how music is played, written or both. Their contributions to music are likely to be felt for years and decades, with musicians coming up after them, trying to imitate and replicate their style and sound.

Now, the bands and musicians who have had an enormous impact on music are few and far between. However, arguably, no band has had as significant an impact and been as influential as the four lads from Liverpool—The Beatles. They forever changed the sound of pop music and music in general. They remain highly respected by musicians and fans of every musical genre worldwide.

In their short time together, the Beatles produced hit after hit. Many of their songs are still played, listened to and covered by musicians worldwide. Instantly, most people recognize a Beatles song and will begin singing along or tapping their feet to the pleasant sound.

One of The Beatles’ hits included the iconic and memorable “Here Comes the Sun.” In a clip posted on YouTube, four children, who call themselves the Smashing Dragons, covered the timeless track and did so beautifully.

“Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo

Here comes the sun, and I say

It’s alright”

The youngsters sound so good performing The Beatles’ tune that it’s scary. They are immensely skilled and will leave you thoroughly impressed with their musical talent.

This is far from the only song the Smashing Dragons have covered. You’ll find their covers of “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “Sultans of Swing” and others on their YouTube channel.

Wynonna Judd and Emmy Russell Moving 'Coal Miner's Daughter' Performance

Watch this moving performance of ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter’ on American Idol from Wynonna Judd and Emmy Russell.

‘Well, I was borned a coal miner's daughter

In a cabin, on a hill in Butcher Holler

We were poor but we had love

That's the one thing that daddy made sure of’

What a beautiful performance from Wynonna Judd and Emmy Russell! Emmy is a 25-year-old singer who is the granddaughter of late country legend Loretta Lynn. She made it to the top five on this season of American Idol before getting eliminated.

"I didn't make top three, but that was God's plan," Emmy shared in a video on Instagram. "It's funny because before I got eliminated, I really felt like I think God told me, he was like, 'Emmy, you're not going to be chosen by America, but I chose you.' And so there was no sense of, 'Why wasn't I chosen?' I know I'm chosen.”

She continued: "And so for me, the point of being here is you can be yourself and be successful. Don't run from rejection of pain and facing hard things."

In a beautiful tribute moment, Emmy was able to sing her grandmother's song ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter’ on the American Idol Grand Finale with Wynonna Judd. Emmy sings the first verse, Wynonna sings the second, and then in a sweet gesture, Wynonna reaches out her hand to hold onto Emmy’s hand.

“I hear Loretta in her granddaughter's voice and see her in her face. Loretta would be so proud! RIP Loretta, you're a national treasure!” comments one person on YouTube.

“Beautiful voice Emmy…your grandmother is smiling proudly from Heaven, and Wynonna, you still have the strongest, most amazing voice in country music!” writes another person online.

After singing ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter,’ the pair go on to sing ‘No One Else on Earth’ by Wynonna Judd. The whole performance was just wonderful to watch!

No matter how far, don't worry, baby’

What a great performance from these talented kids! The singers in this video are part of Milwaukee Children’s Choir, a group that provides choral music education and performance experiences that foster creativity, personal expression, and social growth. According to their website, Milwaukee Children’s Choir’s goal is to unify children in their community through singing and develop young people as a force for good in the world.

In the video, the talented children are singing their hearts out during a concert at St. Sebastian Parish in Milwaukee. It is impossible not to smile when watching those little ones have a good time while performing such a fun and classic song!

‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ was released by Tammi Terrell and Marvin Gaye in 1967, and the single peaked at No. 19 on Billboard’s pop chart. Then in 1968, The Supremes and The Temptations recorded it together, with Diana Ross and the Temptations’ powerful new lead singer, Dennis Edwards, fronting it. Through the years, the song has been recorded and sampled numerous times. And the rendition of ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ from the Milwaukee Children’s Choir is just another version out there to make you smile!

Fantastic Earth, Wind Fire Medley Brings the House Down

A fantastic performance consisting of a medley of Earth, Wind & Fire songs brought down the house.

Earth, Wind & Fire had some of the biggest and catchiest songs of the 1970s and 80s. Not only was the group a musical force in the 70s and 80s, but the group is also still going strong. They continue to tour the country, playing with other notable groups and singers like American Idol judge Lionel Richie and Chicago.

An Earth, Wind & Fire song can be spotted a mile away. It’s always upbeat and energetic and immediately gets everyone within earshot singing. How can you listen to “September” and not sing along? I actually believe it’s physically impossible to do so.

Who doesn’t love Earth, Wind & Fire?

In a clip posted on YouTube, The Band Of HM Royal Marines, a musical division of England’s Royal Navy, turned in a stunning and dazzling performance of a couple of Earth, Wind & Fire songs. It’s one that you’ll want to listen to repeatedly. It’s sure to get you up, moving and grooving to the beat!

The massive group of musicians gets their nearly five-minute performance underway with everyone’s favorite Earth, Wind & Fire tune: “September.”

Read the song’s opening verse and try to do it without singing it. I bet you can’t do it!

“Do you remember

The 21st night of September?

Love was changin’ the minds of pretenders

While chasin’ the clouds away”

After a few verses of “September,” the band seamlessly transitions into another classic song from Earth, Wind & Fire: “Boogie Wonderland.”

Seconds into their performance, the massive audience is clapping along, enjoying the fantastic musical display in front of them.

After their performance, the entire auditorium erupts in thunderous applause, and rightly so. That was such a fun and enjoyable performance!
