David is a singer/songwriter from Lubbock, TX who gave up a career in engineering to focus on being a Christian singer/songwriter. This song was actually inspired by a trip to Disneyland, where an ugly incident concerning his nephew threatened to spoil the day. It made him think that we have to ignore the immediate and short-lived turmoil and focus on the big picture, that today is beautiful, every day is beautiful. As Lamentations 3:23 says, God's mercies are "new every morning". So, when trials come, lift your eyes, let the rain fall away. It's just a cloud in the open sky.

One of the greatest gifts given to a Christian who puts their faith in Jesus Christ is hope. But before a person can have this hope their relationship with God must be restored through repentance. The first words of the preaching ministry of Christ were repent and believe the Gospel. If someone hears the Gospel and does not place their faith in Christ they will receive nothing from the Lord. No faith results in no hope, no assurance, and no eternal life. When one hears the Word of Christ and places complete faith in Him the knowledge of God is communicated to us through the Holy Spirit. This hope enables Christians to confidently enter into the holy presence of God. Jesus is our way into the Most Holy Place! Christ has gone before us and through Him we enter in. The sin of unbelief is the veil that separates all from God. Lack of faith is a veil that prevents even those who have been enlightened from going forward and entering into sanctification. Faith is the start of every lasting covenant between God and mankind. Without faith it is impossible to please God.

When these 2 cousins noticed the temperatures were dropping, they decided to do something amazing for the homeless. After saving up their allowance for weeks, they bought essential supplies and hand-delivered to locals in the community. Amazing!
