A Prayer for Wisdom and a Teachable Heart

When was the last time you learned something new?

In today's Your Daily Prayer, Vivian Bricker shares how her mother taught her the importance of lifelong learning, even though she grew up with only four books.

Reflecting on Proverbs 19:8, Vivian encourages us to remain curious, humble, and willing to grow.

Whether we're learning a new skill, listening to someone else's perspective, or deepening our understanding of Scripture, God can use everyday experiences to help us grow in wisdom.

Join us in praying for a teachable heart, a willingness to ask questions, and a desire to keep learning throughout every season of life.

Actress Hillary Swank Delights In Twice The Joy And Love As Mother Of Twins

Actress Hillary Swank delights in twice the joy and love as a mother of twins. It is so sweet to see this mom gush over her babies. Play the video below to learn more.

Hillary always wanted to be a mom, and when it finally happened, she was 48, a mom to a little baby boy and girl.

“We didn't have them younger, so I don't know what that would have been like then, but I think there's something for me anyway right now that I'm able to give my focus to them in a way that I wouldn't have been able to at that point,” Hillary said on the Today show. “I can give my all to them because I'm in a blessed position that I can say, ‘Oh, I'm going to go back to work now’ or ‘I'm going to take this time off now.’”

For her, the love and fun are multiplied by two. She loves every moment of being a mom. Her babies also have a loving grandma who flies down to be with them every few weeks. Hillary’s dad isn’t around anymore, but the babies love to look at photos of him.

Hilary Swank Embraces Motherhood With Gratitude and Joy

She believes that for her, it was best to wait until she was advanced in age to be a mom.

After her babies were born, she said, “I’m a very different parent than I would’ve been, even in my early 40s. I’m much more patient. I’m much more understanding. I am much more, I think, interested in a different way than I would’ve been.”

It’s wonderful that Hillary loves being a mom so much. She waited most of her life—longer than most people—to be a mom, and now she doesn’t take a second of it for granted… Congrats on your double blessing, Hillary!

Couple's Wedding Held In Hospital So Bride's Dying Father Can Attend

Unique situations call for unique solutions, and one Texas couple deeply understood that. This couple's wedding was held in a hospital so that the bride's dying father could attend. It is so, so bittersweet. Play the video to see a glimpse of the ceremony.

It was Antonio Moreno’s idea to have the wedding in the hospital so that his future father-in-law could see his daughter, Michella Avila, get married. The couple had originally planned to have a formal wedding months later, but Michelle’s dad’s time was running out.

Michelle’s dad, Jose, had norovirus and interstitial lung disease, and his outlook was not good. She knew her father’s last wish was to see her get married, so she heartily agreed.

The hospital staff, including the hospital’s CEO, was fully on board. By the next day at 2 pm, they had everything for a complete wedding, including a dress and decorations. The couple had no idea. They thought it would just be a small bedside ceremony.

However, the hospital made it special. A local wedding planning business also donated their services. There was even a live singer.

A Father's Final Wish Becomes an Unforgettable Wedding Day

Jose was so grateful to the hospital and his family for making it all happen. He was happy with his son-in-law, Antonio, and was confident that he’d love and protect Michelle through their married lives.

“I feel God answered every wish that I could ask for—and for that, I'm eternally grateful for everyone, every single person on that day," Jose said. He passed away just 5 days later.

And Michelle was so grateful too. The ceremony was beyond what she expected, and she says it all felt like a scene in a movie.

It is incredible that everyone made this special day happen. Everyone, especially Jose, was able to rest happily knowing that he got to attend his little girl’s wedding.

Teenager's Heartwarming Reaction To He And Mom's New Home

This teenager has a heartwarming reaction to his and his mom's new home. There is so much joy in this video. Click play to see it.

This single mom, Nicole Aaron, and her son, Raynal, have been looking for their own home in Atlanta, Georgia, for several months. When the teenager told his mom about one house he liked, she told him they couldn’t get it. However, she was working behind the scenes.

A few months later, she led him blindfolded into the house that she had bought without him knowing. When he removed his blindfold, he couldn’t believe his eyes. He brought his hands to his mouth in shock, and his mother jumped up and down with excitement. He ran over to his mom and picked her up, spinning her around.

A Mother's Years of Hard Work Lead to an Unforgettable Surprise

Nicole had been working hard—for over a decade—to secure a home of their own.

It is so wholesome to see the joy of this family. It is obvious that this is something that they’ve worked hard for and have wanted for a long time. In the video, you can see bottles of juice and champagne sitting on the counter with cups as his mom anticipates the celebration. And they deserve every moment of their happiness and celebration.

This is such a beautiful moment to witness. It is so rare and sweet to see their shared dream come true. You can’t help but feel happy for the little family as they begin to enjoy their new home.

Their new home represents more than a place to live. It’s a tangible piece of their dreams and hard work. Seeing Raynal get surprised is the best part. You can tell he’s proud of his mom. This is a memory they will never forget. We hope they have many more celebrations to come in their new home.

The young woman is shown coming down the hall after finishing her battle with breast cancer. She is ringing the bell and getting very emotional about this victory and celebrating. Her loved ones stand down the hall cheering as the caption reveals that this is “27-year-old Angelica May.” Her family and friends rallied around her at the hospital with balloons and flowers, but nothing could have prepared her for what would be next. You can hear a woman in the background shout, “Look at God!”

A Surprise Proposal Makes Her Final Chemo Treatment Unforgettable

Suddenly, a red carpet is rolled out that leads to her boyfriend at the end of it. She is in total shock and begins to cry. The young man begins to encourage his girlfriend and tells her how strong she has been and how incredible she has been to complete this process of chemo. He tells her that he loves her and he wants to marry her. Everyone is so excited. He gets down on one knee and proposes to her. She says yes, and he puts on her engagement ring. Their loved ones celebrate as they hug and hold on to one another.

This is an amazing love story of commitment and a memory that Angelica will cherish forever. This will be a day that goes down as a favorite day for her of healing, victory, and true love. It is exciting to witness.

“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” Romans 5:3-5

Hope Creek Ranch

HOPE CREEK RANCH LOGLINE At a remote Montana correctional ranch where incarcerated women rehabilitate through horse training, six hardened and broken bunkmates find their world upended when a devoutly Christian new arrival — serving time for the drunk-driving death of her best friend — arrives carrying nothing but a Bible, a violin, and an unshakable faith that slowly convicts, comforts, and transforms everyone in her path. SYNOPSIS Nestled in the shadow of Glacier National Park, Hope Creek Ranch is unlike any other correctional facility — fifty incarcerated women rebuild their lives not through punishment, but through the patient, demanding work of caring for horses: feeding, grooming, mucking stalls, shoeing, and riding animals as broken and distrustful as they are. Under the watch of Warden Caroline Hutchins and her rotating crew of guards-turned-ranch-hands, the camp runs on an unspoken belief that healing an animal and healing a person aren't so different — both require patience, trust, and someone willing to stay. The series centers on Bunkhouse Seven, home to six women serving vastly different sentences for vastly different crimes: Dess, the steady, horse-whispering matriarch doing time for defending herself against an abusive husband; Tanya, a sharp-tongued con artist who trusts no one and performs constantly; Frankie, volatile and fiercely loyal, carrying guilt she won't name; Keisha, the quick-witted comic relief masking deep abandonment wounds; Rosa, a teenager too innocent and easily led, still learning to find her own voice; and Birdie, fragile and newly sober, finding unexpected peace in the company of the horses. Their fragile equilibrium shifts when Danica Sokol — a 24-year-old former beauty queen serving three years for the vehicular homicide of her lifelong best friend — arrives as Bunkhouse Seven's seventh bunkmate. Beautiful, broken, and unflinchingly honest about her own guilt, Danica carries an open, unapologetic relationship with Jesus, a Bible she knows by heart, and a gift for music that catches every woman in the cabin off guard. She doesn't preach from a place of superiority — she preaches from the wreckage of her own worst day. Her presence becomes a mirror, forcing each woman in Bunkhouse Seven to confront the parts of themselves they've buried under bravado, humor, or silence. Episode by episode, Hope Creek Ranch blends comedy and drama in equal measure — the chaos of six (then seven) women fighting over one bathroom, the unexpected tenderness of a wild filly accepting a human hand, the dark humor that survives even in captivity — alongside genuine wrestling with guilt, redemption, grief, and grace. Through the daily rhythms of barn work, mealtime banter, and late-night bunkhouse confessions, the series explores whether people who have done terrible things can still be loved, still be changed, and still find hope — both from each other, and from something greater than themselves. At its heart, Hope Creek Ranch is a story about what it means to be green broke — not broken beyond repair, but gentled, slowly, by someone patient enough to wait for trust to come.
