Jesus is calling those who have become weary from carrying burdens. He shows mercy and compassion to them by carrying the burdens and healing their wounds. He refreshes and strengthens them for the journey ahead. Only then are they able to fulfill purpose and destiny.
Many of God’s children live with abuse every single day. Some have accepted abuse as a way of life. God provides an escape from abuse through Jesus Christ. God’s healing power is available for all who have suffered abuse on the inside and/or the outside. Jesus told the woman who had been abused that he would give her living water which would make her whole. He will do the same for every person who has been abused.
