This scripture continues our study of The Sermon on the Mount. I chose The Message translation of the text because it makes so much sense as we try to figure out what Jesus is talking about here. He tells us to be perfect - what a hard goal! He tells us to grow up - that hurts the ego. I believe Jesus wants us to realize that our discipleship is not a burden - it is the freedom to behave as God intends us to behave. It is the opportunity to share the love and forgiveness we have received with so many others. What a blessing this truly becomes. Please join us as we continue this study today.

CHECK us out at : https://powerofprayernow.org/ Faith...prayer is simply a phone call to God...when I need to get ahold of Him...I just simply place a call to Him...the line that reaches to God is Jesus Christ...there is no other way...also there has to be power...if there is no electricity in the line...the phone call will not go through...the same is true in prayer....I've got to have power...and that power that makes my prayer work, that makes things possible is FAITH...faith is the electricity in my phone call to God. The bible defines faith for us in Hebrews 11:1...faith is the substance of things hoped for....the evidence of things not seen....faith starts out as hope...and it calls out to God....until it gets an answer...Hope turns to Faith...when my hope gets a yes and faith is born...whether it is on the spot or a year from now...it will happen...because now I have that faith that makes all things possible...continue to call out to God...until you get an answer....

Think about ourselves....physical and monetary limitations...sometimes we take the limits we have and place them on God...the Israelites limited God...they saw God work incredible things...as he took them through the desert...and yet after all He did...they still questioned and limited God...Psalms 78:40-41...Nothing is impossible with God...Israel took their limits and placed them on a limitless God...So often we limit God...what we think of Him...we think God can't do it cause we can't figure it out...but He sees a picture way above ours....Don't take your limits and put them on God and tempt him and limit Him...nothing is to hard for OUR God.
