Others, like Henry Blackaby, saw them as "Crisis of Faith." No matter how you define or describe them, Failure (and Frustration); Illness (and Disease); and Death, are woven into the very fabric of life, to nudge us to "Seek the Lord." This compilation is a small portion of a larger pastoral message delivered at the First Baptist Church, Chalmette, Louisiana, by Dr. John Dee Jeffries, on Sunday evening, October 18, 2009. It's intention? To nudge us to "Seek the Lord."

Why do we do good as Christians? Some have claimed we're saved by works. Yet if that's true, how can we do works better than the Pharisees who were the most religious people of them all. Jesus said our righteousness must be greater than that. So works must not be something we do to make us righteous, but something that flows out of who we are a Christians.
