Join us as we worship the Lord by his Word and Spirit. We sing the great hymns of the Christian faith from the original Trinity Hymnal of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. Our sermon is "Heed the Rod!" from Micah 6:9-16. Special Music from Waggoner and MacLaren is "I Sought the Lord," (Trinity Hymnal #397, Second Tune). Other hymns include, "Hosanna to the Living Lord," "Great God, What Do I See and Hear," and "To Thee O Comforter Divine." This service took place on May 27, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church in Perkasie, PA (USA). The Rev. R. Scott MacLaren is the pastor, and he is assisted by Mr. Joseph Waggoner (Hymns), Mr. Scott Roltsch (Scripture Readings), and Mrs. Rebekah Waggoner (pianist).

Many in the church today believe that love is the only command, that if they simply love God and their neighbor they are fulfilling the commandments of God. They have this impression for good reason - pulling Bible verses out of context could lead you to this conclusion. But the truth is that "love" in this context is defined as "keeping the commandments". In other words, though we have the grace of our Savior, Jesus, we are not free to be disobedient; to the contrary, that grace should make us ever more obedient!
