For this MUCH SHORTER Spiritual Affirmation video, I'll be talking about what I read in Judges 9 and what we can apply from it. I find what Jotham says the the leaders of Beth Milla and Shechem in verses 7-21, as well as what happens to both Abimelech and the leaders within verses 22-57 to be very interesting; no I do not read all 57 verses. In short, God doesn't treat sin as a "first degree" only basis, in that you can be guilty of sin if you're an accomplace or simply one who tolerates the sin taken place.
For this ninth edition, I really liked reading this quote from Teresa of Avila. She speaks of various things in this quote such as prayer, false appearances, Satan, and sin. It is convicting in that we Christians sometimes make this outward appearance of us "being ok" when we may be struggling andor ashamed of some sin within. We need to not only keep it real and let people know about our trials/struggles, since they might actually be able to help us out, but at the same time not be discouraged from praying to God about it. Satan has devised this guilt trap for us to think "oh I've sinned too much" or "oh I've done a very terrible sin" and guilts our consciences into believing we aren't good enough to talk to God about it. Truth of the matter is God cares about our problems and worries, and he wants us to pray for his help and let him know how we are feeling.
I made a video last week for a modernized version of "Fairest Lord Jesus", by Ross Parsley and New Life Worship from Colorado Springs. I couldn't decide whether to make a video for that version of the song or Christy Nockels' version. So I decided, what the heck, I'll make videos for both versions. Here is the video for Christy's version. The arrangement and extra lyrics are by Christy and her husband Nathan. One of my favorite hymns ever, and this is a nice departure from the traditional version. Christy's rendition is supremely spirited and passionate. Oh, this version is found on the Passion CD "Hymns, Ancient & Modern", a must-have.
This song goes way back, to the 17th century. But nobody knows who wrote it.

Mothers Day is a fantastic time to encourage Moms to pray and this video tells the story of a son who strayed and returned to the Lord. It's also a great time to invite them to new ministries by using a recipe card.

A young woman in the 1970´s running wild in society, drinking, smoking marijuana and partying with the wrong crowds lead to a disease that was very incurable at the time. She was at her death bed and if she was ever to recover from the disease she would never be able to have children. While she was in the Hospital a sister of hers told her about God and she found the void in her life and replaced doing drugs and drinking and hanging out with the wrong crowds with having a personal relationship with God. She has been healed from the disease and now is the very first female survivor of Good-Pastures Syndrome.

Ladies, if you do not respect yourself, no one else will. Self-respect relates to self-confidence, self-confidence relates to self-esteem, and self-esteem relates to self-love. The three go hand-in-hand. Stop expecting a man to respect you, if you do not respect yourself. Love yourself as God loves you!
The key to respecting yourself is staying righteous with God, not satisfying the flesh, but satisfying God. Richie Sheets is known by his past as a womanizer. As he grows closer to God, he finds out in order to have a healthy relationship; he must focus on God’s word, and not the world’s words.
The Bible says, “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves” (Philippians 2:3). Tips on respecting yourself: • Stay righteous with God • Love yourself completely • Focus on your values
Do you respect yourself?
