Mass killers, though often delusional, are deliberate and determined. Often times, people around the shooter ask themselves how they did not notice the warning signs of these people. There are four major signs to look for: obsessions with anger or violent thoughts, paranoid, a withdrawn personality, and a distorted or radical belief system. If you notice these signs and think someone may be a threat, you could have them involuntarily committed. In Florida this is called being Baker Acted and a judge, law enforcement officer, or mental health counselor can all Baker Act someone.
