The "Book of Psalms: Back to Songs" project is a creative endeavor to restore the original spirit of the Psalms - as songs of worship, lament, praise, and reflection-by transforming them back into musical form, as many were written. Drawing from modern translations of the classic biblical texts, this project reimagines the Psalms with fresh musical arrangements that blend timeless messages with modern sounds. Each Psalm is thoughtfully adapted into lyrical and melodic compositions, many using modern tools, to explore harmonies, instrumentation, and genre-blending arrangements. From soulful acoustic ballads and rock/pop hymns to country pieces and R&B-inspired tunes, the project seeks to make the Psalms accessible and resonate with today’s listeners, while staying true to their emotional and spiritual depth. This song focuses on those of us who seek Heaven as our finish line. If we cross that line, in pursuit of the Salvation of Jesus, everybody wins the race. It's only when we seek earthly prizes that we lose.

Nothing can defeat the Word Of The Lord! God is truth, and, like God, truth is absolute. It's what IS. Our truth is grounded in earthly desires, pride, greed, narcissism, and so on (If we believe it, it must be true). THE truth is grounded in what is, whether we believe it or not. And if you could ask truth it's name, the reply you'd receive would likely be: "I AM, that I AM".

Having a conversation with the Lord, is really as easy as reciting the Lord’s prayer, and then… talk away! I remember first hearing a musical rendition of the Lord’s Prayer, and it left me wanting, mostly because it was impossible for me to sing. I wanted to remedy that, and ended up writing three new versions, and finally settled on this one. Sing it to yourself as often as you can. Everything I read in the Bible tells me that God loves to be praised with music!

Christianity is under attack. World wide for sure… and even in our own country. And there are two kinds of attacks, one is actual physical attack. The other is the subtle, behind-the-scenes attack of Satan… what Christians recognize as spiritual warfare. This music video is to remind us that Satan is REAL, and that the Bible tells us what to do and how to prepare for these attacks, in Ephesians 6:10-13.

As we head into the new year and start thinking about resolutions, I realized that the resolution I needed the most was to make sure to let scriptures guide me more going into next year. Matthew 6:33 was one of the passages that inspired this song. What are your plans for the new year?

"Those Words In Red" expresses how my walk with Christ was established at an early age by often going to church with my grandparents, uncle and often cousins. How we were told the importance of paying close attention to what the preacher said. And how when I was young many times the word was not just powerful because of the scriptures but because of how those scriptures were shared.

"Let The Peace Of God Rule Your Heart" shares how we should turn away from our sinful lives and embrace God so we can have peace in our minds and heart. How through true dedication we can show the love and kindness we should have for others.
