There is nothing like being a parent. It’s an experience and a blessing unlike anything else on Earth. It’s easily one of the best, but at the same time, one of the most challenging and difficult things. The moment that little one enters your world, your life will forever and always be changed, for the better, in every way imaginable.

What mattered before that child’s arrival soon becomes much less important. As all parents know, priorities immediately change when that little one enters the picture. You’ll find yourself doing and thinking things you didn’t before becoming a parent. One of the things that happens, you’ve probably found, is that you become much more protective. We’d do anything possible to keep that child from experiencing hurt or pain, even putting our own lives and safety on the line.

That’s exactly what one mother did when she was faced with a frightening situation involving her child. The video posted on YouTube shows a 4-year-old who had fallen into the pool. Immediately after the child hits the water, loud, bone-chilling shrieks are heard. Moments after the little one falls into the water, the mother sprints into frame and leaps into the pool.

Thankfully, Mom reaches the young man in time before disaster strikes, lifts him out of the water and hands him to Dad, who is standing outside the pool.

The mother said that she sprang into action after seeing water splashing around and hearing the shrieks. Everything moved so quickly that she does not even remember diving into the water.

“You just can’t assume that someone else is watching your child,” she said.

Incredible footage captured a plane colliding with a paraglider. The airborne crash sent the paraglider twirling, twisting and turning to the ground. Watch the short but jaw-dropping clip to see the moment a plane ran into the paraglider.

As we all know, a fear of heights is very common, with a lot of people desperately wanting to remain on solid ground. Of course, some people have it worse than others. A few feet off the ground, or simply using a step ladder, is entirely too high for some people to withstand, and they begin to get that familiar, uneasy feeling in the pit of their stomach. For others, even thinking about climbing up to and looking several hundred feet down is enough to cause a cold sweat.

I am a member of the no-heights club, as I am known to vehemently refuse to climb up certain step passages and trails. Looking down and seeing how far I’ve gone? That is totally and completely out of the question. Who wants to do that anyway? Do people enjoy imagining how long they’d fall if they were to make a false move here or there? No, thank you.

While I do not have a fear of flying other people, for one reason or another, perhaps it’s due to the height, do. A clip posted on YouTube shows that if you did not have a fear of flying before, you may now think twice about flying or doing any other aerial activity.

In the video, a woman is out paragliding when, seemingly out of nowhere, a small plane comes by and hits her canopy. The mid-air collision sends her toward the ground. She twists and turns all the way down until she lands hard on the ground with a thud. The video states that she fell 2,000 feet in 2 minutes.

Luckily, and amazingly, the woman survived. She only suffered a couple of cuts, scrapes and bruises.

Joshua 1:9 “Have I not given you your orders? Take heart and be strong; have no fear and do not be troubled; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

These students prove kindness is one of life’s greatest lessons. The youngsters are learning about being kind and why it’s so incredibly important. Watch the short but heartwarming clip to hear how the practice and lessons of kindness are making a difference in these schoolchildren’s lives.

The world is a cold, cruel and downright heartless place. Everywhere we look, we can find plenty of examples of people treating one another with hatred and contempt. From the profane, hate-filled messages posted on popular social media platforms, to every television broadcast and even to high-ranking, elected governmental leaders, people treat one another horribly.

Needless to say, we have a surplus of hate, division, ruthless and callous behavior in this world. But what we have way too little of are love, kindness, empathy and compassion, and that will always be the case. It’s impossible to have too much of any of them. There will never be a point where we reach our quota or our fill of kindness and say, “Well, we’ve got enough of that, time to be awful to each other again.”

However, what would happen if we were a little kinder to one another? What would our world look like if we exhibited more patience and gave someone a little grace and mercy? How would that change things? It certainly couldn’t make things any worse, right?

In a clip posted on YouTube, a group of students is learning and being taught lessons about kindness, and what they have to say about it is pretty astonishing and jaw-dropping.

A third-grade teacher in Minnesota is not only teaching reading, writing and arithmetic, but he’s also sharing lessons about kindness, empathy and character. The teacher knows that those lessons are getting through to the kids because he’s witnessed them act them out.

“Just makes me want to be a better person,” one young lady said.

“I just want to help people out,” a second little girl added.

One man has found a clever (and hilarious) way around high gas prices. Despite the ever-increasing prices at the pump, he’s doing what he can to keep as much money in his wallet. Watch the short clip to see what this man has done to help lessen the pain he feels whenever he fills up at the pump.

Prices for this, that and everything in between are going up, up and up some more. Given the constant and steady increase in prices, a trip to the grocery store is one of the most depressing things you can do. Buying groceries takes an ever-growing chunk out of our wallets, and sadly, there doesn’t appear to be a change coming anytime soon.

But before you can even get to the grocery store to pay those rapidly ballooning prices for food, you’ll no doubt encounter another growing expense: gas. Gas, like everything else, has gone up considerably in price. However, one man has come up with a unique, but very unconventional method to get around having to shell out a ton of cash to move about town.

A clip posted on YouTube shows how Mali Hightower, a handyman in Georgia, has put his knowledge and skills to good use. He put a fully functional two-gallon, one-piston engine in a pink Barbie Dream camper and uses it to get around town.

“I am inside my infamous Barbie camper, the Barbie jeep,” he said. “I’ve always kind of just had a niche for building go-carts and little things, and once I started seeing how gas prices were and things like that, I was like, ‘You know what? I’m going to start making little mini cars.’ And this is just one of them that I kept as my personal creation.”

Seeing a vehicle like that on the road would be a shock, for sure. But when the price of everything goes up considerably, as has been the case, people will get creative and do what they have to do.

A text from a mailman resulted in a unique, one-of-a-kind mailbox. The simple, run-of-the-mill message spurred on the creation of a mailbox that you have to see – and hear – to believe. Watch the short but hilarious clip to see what happened after this father and husband received a text message from their mail carrier.

Typically, a mailbox is nothing more than a receptacle for sending and receiving mail through the United States Postal Service. Most people likely don’t give their mailbox a second thought. Personally, I know I don’t think about my mailbox any more than that. All that matters when it comes to a mailbox is that you actually have one, right?

Well, that’s not the case for one father and husband, especially after he received a text message from his mailman. Hilariously, the text from the government worker criticized the man’s mailbox, both its structure and its aesthetics. So, as a way to respond to the harsh criticism he received about his outdoor mail receptacle, this father got to work.

In a clip posted on YouTube, this father got to work on his mailbox, determined to improve its form and appearance. Well, of course, first, he started on the poll on which the mailbox would sit. Without a good, sturdy foundation, the mailbox would not stand up against the elements, and all his work would be entirely in vain.

Once he had constructed the poll and the foundation was standing, he started on the actual mailbox itself. What he came up with is absolutely hilarious, and honestly, kind of mind-blowing. He ingeniously engineered the mailbox to play music whenever the mailbox was opened.

When the mailman saw and heard his brand-new mailbox, he was completely blown away and got quite the kick out of it. While the father and husband now has a mailman-approved mailbox, he has a new problem he did not anticipate. His children and the other neighborhood kids will not leave his mailbox alone; they constantly open it to hear the many tunes it plays.

This peaceful nightly prayer encourages believers to release fear, pressure, and anxiety while resting in God’s strength and peace.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson surprised a school with an incredible gift. The actor and wrestler responded to a school in England with something that no one saw coming, and needless to say, they were overjoyed. Watch the short, but powerful and heartwarming clip to hear how The Rock responded to an elementary school that reached out to him on social media.

Unfortunately, we live in a lost and fallen world. Everywhere we look, we see examples of this undeniable fact. Social media is full of people profanely lashing out at one another. Every television news broadcast has stories of the latest vicious, fatal shooting. It’s clear that when it comes to hatred, malice and cruelty, there is an overwhelming surplus in this world.

But what about kindness, love and empathy? We are severely lacking, that’s for sure. So, what does it take to show someone a little bit of love and kindness? It requires very little time and really no talent or skill to make someone else’s day a little more pleasant and enjoyable.

In a clip posted on social media, Dwayne showed unbelievable love and kindness to a group of schoolchildren in England, surprising them with an incredible gift they didn't see coming.

The segment begins with a clip of the children reaching out to The Rock, saying that if he simply commented on their post, they would all get to go on a trip to see the upcoming live-action “Moana” film. It was a long shot, but sometimes long shots do pay off, and as it turned out, this one did as well.

Not only did he respond to the kids, but he also recorded a video for them and went much further than just that. He announced that he would be renting out a theater for them so that they, their friends and family could see the film completely free of charge.

Oh, and all the drinks and snacks were on him as well.

Yes, there are some people in positions who can do more extravagant, eye-catching things for others. But regardless of our financial situation, we can still show others kindness and love.  We can all do something to make others feel loved and appreciated.
