To the Church in Philadelphia
Rev 3:7  “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens.

While Seventh-day Adventists hold to many of the same doctrines as those of other churches, such as the Trinity, Nature of Christ, and the value of the Atonement, the one doctrine we alone believe is this "Investigative Judgement". The Church rapidly grew and many came to accept Jesus. When the church began to grow the Christians were then ostracized and persecuted. This did not stop the Christians from working and growing the Church. This is much like the Churches today They were under great duress. They began to lose their passion and love for Jesus.

23 I in them, and you in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them, as you loved me.
Do you know that God loves you just as much as He loved the son of man Jesus?

The first promise of the new covenant is salvation. “Sozo” is the Greek word for salvation, yet it’s root meaning goes beyond just the forgiveness of sins. When we read John 20:4-8 They knew that Jesus took the time to fold the napkin and place in on the ledge by itself. if anyone were to steal His body they would not have done this. Do you realize the wonderful celebration that was going on in heaven. Jesus defeated the supernatural demonic forces and made a show of them openly.

John 19:33 tells us that Jesus died from a broken heart. 33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. The Heart was pierced and blood and water gushed out of the wound. The sack which surrounds the heart is filled with water. When the heart was pierced we know that Jesus truly died of a broken heart. We know that when people die of heart attacks it is because the blood ceases to flow to the heart.

24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.

26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.

29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,

30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
