Resurrection power the curse is broken

Jesus is the way,

The truth, the life, the only way,

Holy is the name, Yahweh”

The song ‘Heaven On Earth’ from the Newsboys is part of their new studio album that is coming out this year. The band will release the collection of songs in two parts. Part I comes out on July 19, 2024, and Part II releases on October 18, 2024.

“We’ve been holding onto this song for a while, and we’re thrilled to finally share it with the world,” says lead singer Michael Tait about their new song. “Heaven on Earth started as a prayer in the writing room and turned into an outcry for worldwide revival.”

Adam Agee recently joined the Newsboys as a bandmate. He and Michael Tait co-wrote the single ‘Heaven On Earth’ along with all twelve of the new songs on the album. And they have stated that their new songs are rooted in Biblical truth and driven by prayer.

“With these songs, we found ourselves wanting more than ever to take the time to make sure we felt really confident in the messaging and the meaning behind each and every lyric,” shares Adam Agee. “Every one of them has been prayed over…intentionally crafted to share the message that we feel called to share right now.”

We hope you enjoyed listening to ‘Heaven On Earth’ by the Newsboys today. May the song bring some joy and encouragement to your day!

“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10

Bryan Olesen Unforgettable 'Africa' Performance On The Voice

Bryan Olesen turned in an unforgettable and awe-inspiring cover performance of “Africa,” wowing the studio audience and the judges on The Voice.

Programs like American Idol, America’s Got Talent and The Voice are fantastic shows because they give people who have been overlooked an opportunity to achieve their dreams. Sometimes, that is all someone needs. A chance to perform in front of and impress the right people could change their lives forever.

In addition to allowing individuals to chase and fulfill their dreams, those shows do something else. They let the studio audience and everyone watching at home hear different interpretations and takes on classic and beloved tunes. Some of them work, even matching the original, and other times they don’t so much.

But you only know once you try, right?

Well, Bryan Olesen, a contestant on The Voice, is one of those people who is hoping to make his musical aspirations and dreams a reality. In his latest appearance on the popular program, he gave his take on the beloved Toto song from the 1980s, “Africa.”

It was an outstanding performance in which he owned the stage, thrilling and treating the studio audience and the judges. Seconds after he began singing, several in the audience started shouting and cheering joyfully.

How can you not enjoy the original and Bryan’s take on the tune? The song’s chorus is so incredibly catchy!

“It’s gonna take a lot to drag me away from you

There’s nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do

I bless the rains down in Africa

Gonna take some time to do the things we never had”

Toto’s “Africa” is one of those songs that, if you hear it once, you’ll have it stuck in your head the rest of the day. But that is not a bad thing.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Gardiner Brothers Dazzle With Dance to 'December 1963 (Oh, What A Night)'

Two unbelievably talented brothers, the Gardiner Brothers, pulled off a dazzling and quick-footed dance routine to “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night).”

Hundreds and possibly even thousands of songs are produced and released yearly. Most of those tunes are only ever heard by the creator. Those songs that do make it onto the radio or gain a sizable audience on Spotify or Apple Music are then quickly forgotten.

Some songs created by well-known musicians might be remembered for several months or even years later. But eventually, they are forgotten, with audiences moving on to the next latest and greatest sound.

However, some songs are so memorable and iconic that they withstand the test of time. These songs, remembered and beloved decades after their initial release, are often called classics. Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons produced a handful of tunes that have since become classics, including “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night ).”

In a clip posted on social media, Mike and Matthew Gardiner put on a stunning and synchronized dance routine to “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night ).” Once again, as is usual with these guys, it’s a performance you will not want to miss.

Their routine is simply captivating. Their quick and perfectly timed moves demand your attention, capturing it and do not let go. Likely, you’ll find yourself watching the clip multiple times for their dance steps and because of the iconic song.

“Oh, what a night

Late December back in sixty-three

What a very special time for me

As I remember, what a night”

That beat and those lyrics are incredibly catchy. If you hear them once, you’ll sing and hum them for the rest of the day.

Their Instagram page states that the Gardiner Brothers are five-time World Champion Irish dancers. On that page, you will also find the guys showing off their dance skills to dozens of other beloved songs.

Innocent Masuku's Operatic Voice Stuns Judges On Britain's Got Talent

One young man, Innocent Masuku, left the four judges on Britain's Got Talent stunned with his beautiful operatic voice and performance.

Talent can come from anywhere and everywhere. The good Lord has blessed everyone with different gifts, skills and abilities. People who have been written off or told that, for one reason or another, they aren’t good enough can leave people stunned and surprised if they are given the opportunity.

Shows like The Voice, American Idol, America’s Got Talent and the British version – Britain's Got Talent - have helped to uncover some of that previously undiscovered talent. Most individuals seek a chance to demonstrate their skills or abilities. All someone may need is a word of encouragement to help them soar and reach their potential.

Innocent Masuku informed the judges that he had previously been told that he should give up singing opera and that he’d never make it performing that kind of music. That individual could not have been more wrong.

Innocent put on an absolutely stunning vocal performance, singing opera. Anytime someone tries opera, it will go one of two ways. It will either be horrible and downright painful to listen to or one of the most beautiful things you’ve ever heard. Innocent’s operatic audition was outstanding.

The entire audience was stunned and captivated from the instant he opened his mouth and began singing the opening notes. They could not believe their ears. It was a delightful and magnificent performance no one wanted to end.

All four judges gave the young man, originally from South Africa, high praise, and rightfully so, for his astounding audition. While all of them were effusive with their praise, Amanda gave Innocent the highest compliment.

“Hands down, in the 17 years that we’ve been doing Britain’s Got Talent, you are by far the best opera singer that we’ve ever had,” she said.

Of course, they all gave the young yes votes. However, it was stunning that none reached over and gave Innocent a Golden Buzzer. He was certainly deserving of it.

Brothers of the Heart's Stunning Rendition of 'Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain'

Brothers Of The Heart’s Stunning Rendition Of ‘Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain’

A group of unbelievably talented musicians, Brothers of the Heart, turned in a stunning rendition of “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain.”

Everyone will experience hurt in life. Life is often a struggle, full of hardships and trials. No one walking on this Earth will leave unscathed. Those trying situations will leave their scars and marks, whether physical or emotional.

But despite all the hurt and heartache that people typically experience in life, there are some truly beautiful moments. While God does not promise life will be easy, He touches and blesses our lives in many ways. One way He pours out His blessings is through our relationships with other people.

One of the absolute best things about life is marriage. Finding someone to spend, enjoy and experience life with is unlike anything else. A good and healthy marriage relationship creates a setting of stability, comfort and love for both individuals and children, resulting from that bond.

But, sadly, like everything else on Earth, nothing lasts forever. God gives us a marriage partner for only a short time. Eventually, death comes for all of us, including our spouses. But death does not have to be and is not the end for those who follow Christ. It’s nothing but a temporary separation.

Brothers of the Heart give a dazzling cover performance of “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain,” a song previously recorded by Willie Nelson. The tune is about losing a spouse but looking forward to reuniting in a land without separation.

“Some day when we meet up yonder

We’ll stroll hand-in-hand again

In a land that knows no parting

Blue eyes crying in the rain”

Like everything God gives, time with our spouses should be honored and cherished. We can never be sure when that last moment will arrive.

Revelation 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

6-Year-Old Requests 'Frozen' Song and Captivates With Beautiful Voice

A 6-year-old girl approached a man playing the piano and requested a song from the movie “Frozen.” Then, she captivated travelers when she unexpectedly started singing.

Talent can come from anywhere and everywhere. Shows like American Idol, America’s Got Talent, and The Voice prove that statement. People continually blow the judges away with their unexpected God-given skills and talent.

God has blessed people with a variety of gifts and skills. Everyone has something to contribute and a purpose. If given the chance to show what they have, they might surprise you, turn heads and change minds.

No one should ever be written off or ignored because of their age or other factors they cannot control. A clip posted on YouTube shows that the young lady turned several heads and even caused some people to tear up because of her beautiful singing voice.

The clip begins with the child excitedly approaching the man playing the piano in the Warsaw airport. With a massive smile, she asks the pianist, “Can you play ‘Let It Go’?”

The man starts playing the requested tune as several travelers look on in confusion, and no one is sure what is about to happen. Little do they know that they are about to be treated to an outstanding vocal performance from a child.

As the young lady reaches the song’s memorable and iconic chorus, more and more people stop to take in the musical performance, many filming the special moment.

The pianist who posted the video wrote in the clip’s description that the young woman’s voice almost moved him to tears. He added that he “didn’t expect that she would start singing.”

The exceptional performance ends with a well-deserved round of applause and the young woman giving the man on the piano a warm embrace.

Psalm 95:1 “O come, let us make songs to the Lord; sending up glad voices to the Rock of our salvation.”

Alyssa Crosby's 'I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues' Cover Captivates

The Voice contestant Alyssa Crosby turned in a stunning cover performance of Elton John’s “I Guess That’s Why They Call It the Blues,” captivating audiences.

Everyone wants to be an actor or a musician or work in the entertainment field in some capacity. The popularity and competitive nature of shows like American Idol, America’s Got Talent and The Voice prove this to be 100% true. It’s a highly competitive field with many people desperately trying to break in and get a chance to prove themselves.

Even on those popular talent shows, there is only ever one winner. Thousands try out, hoping to make it onto the show, but only one person wins the top spot. However, before those programs select their winner every season, audiences are treated to stellar performances from a lineup of incredibly talented individuals.

Alyssa Crosby is one of those people who has been blessed with an enormous amount of God-given talent. During her latest appearance on The Voice, Alyssa performed a cover of an Elton John classic, “I Guess That’s Why They Call It the Blues.”

And she absolutely nailed it!

Alyssa, a member of Team Chance, showed off her astounding vocals and incredible stage presence. She had all the program’s judges smiling, including her coach, Chance The Rapper.

As great as her performance was, she really did leave the best for last. Near the 1:40-minute mark of the clip, Alyssa showed that she is fully capable of reaching for and hitting high notes.

Alyssa sent the studio audience into a frenzy. They gave her a well-deserved and deafening round of applause.

Jimmy Fortune Spirited Cover Of 'Life's Railway To Heaven'

Jimmy Fortune’s spirited cover of “Life’s Railway to Heaven” may tempt you to dance. His version serves up the original recipe with a generous dollop of pep!

Now in the public domain after so many years, “Life’s Railway to Heaven” was written by M. E. Abbey, arranged by Charles D. Tillman, and published in 1890. The song was first released by Edward Allen and Charles Hart in 1918. Dennis Quaid recorded the song in 2023. And dozens of performers have done covers in each of the 11 decades since that original recording, including Patsy Cline, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Wayne Newton, Boxcar Willie, Steven Curtis Chapman and so many more. The song has stood the test of time!

In addition to this performance, 69-year-old Jimmy Fortune recorded the song as a member of The Statler Brothers and with The Oak Ridge Boys. He is joined here by Sheriff Jimmy Capps, a regular on Larry’s Country Diner, and two other musicians.

At 1:07, Jimmy calls out over the music, “Play me somethin’, Mike.” Mike responds with an impressive guitar solo. At 2:12, he asks the pretty fiddler on his right to do likewise.

As diner characters go about their activities, the crowd tunes in. Jimmy and crew tap their toes on tempo and sing the old gospel hymn. The song’s lyrics liken life to a train ride. The analogy compares the railroad to life’s twists and turns, the conductor to Jesus, and the train depot to our final destination. Done correctly, that destination is our Heavenly Home.

Here are four lines from a chorus of “Life’s Railway to Heaven:”

“Watch the curves, the fills, the tunnels;

Never falter, never fail;

Keep your hands upon the throttle,

And your eyes upon the rail.”

Trains are mysterious. We don’t always know what’s in the next car or around the bend in the tracks. But we know one thing for sure. Trains have figured into a lot of great music!

And for a much more recent spiritual song, check out Josh Turner’s acoustic version of “Long Black Train.” While the train in this one is far darker, the message is an encouragement of faith.

May this music be a blessing to your day!

“Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.” Proverbs 4:26

Man's Enchanting Pan Flute Rendition Of 'Colors Of The Wind' From Pocahontas

Sit back and savor Raimy Salazar’s enchanting pan flute rendition of “Colors of the Wind” from Disney’s Pocahontas. It will be 4:22 minutes well spent!

The 30-year-old Andean musician was born in Otavalo, Ecuador, and is an Inca (a.k.a. Inka) Indian. Here, he performs from a peak on Chimborazo, which is an inactive volcano in the Cordillera Occidental mountain range in the Andes.

The landscape is stunning and provides a mystical backdrop for Raimy’s video. So, although the music is mesmerizing when enjoyed with eyes closed, the view, as well as the musician’s artistic movements and authentic dress further enhance the breathtaking performance.

As Raimy approaches the microphone positioned at the summit, he wears a beautifully woven mask over his mouth. Perhaps, he uses the mask to protect his throat and lungs from exposure to cool air before playing? He glances through the fog toward the neighboring mountains, the valley and lagoons below, and the sky. He removes and pockets his mask, revealing a serene smile just before starting to play.

Raimy first plays the quena – the traditional flute of the Andes. He switches to the pan flute at 1:45, delivering lovely, soothing sounds from both instruments.

The video captures the road below, but it isn’t until the camera pans out at 2:30 and again at 3:05 that we can clearly see the spot on which Raimy stands. It’s hard to imagine being calm enough at such heights to deliver such a soothing performance!

Over 2,000 viewers from all over the world have commented on Raimy’s version of “Colors of the Wind.” They express their gratitude and appreciation, using words like “magnificent,” “hypnotizing,” and “extraordinary.”

One wrote, “This is so beautifully done. The landscape, the instruments, and the tune all perfectly aligned!”

Another shared, “This has touched my heart and brought me home.”

God provided the incredible beauty, and, with His help, Raimy provided the intoxicating sound!

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” Psalms 19:1

6-Year-Old Wows With Magical Disney Piano Performance

Meet an amazingly gifted 6-year-old, Jelijah Diaz, who is wowing online fans with his magical Disney piano performance!

Jelijah Diaz is from Miami, Florida. However, he traveled all the way across the country to see Ms. Jennifer Hudson in California when he appeared on her show back in October 2023. Jelijah was just 5 at the time, but he was already able to identify notes that JHud sang and play the piano while blindfolded!

Watch here as Jelijah does another pretty cool musical trick!

Wearing a bright smile, a precious pair of dimples, and comfy clothes, Jelijah is absolutely adorable! He’s prepared snippets from each of Disney’s top five songs. He introduces each song before playing 20 -30 seconds of the tune, confidently calling each out and holding up the corresponding number of fingers.

His medley begins with “Under the Sea” from The Little Mermaid (1989). Number four is “Colors of the Wind” from 1995’s Pocahontas. Jelijah changes things up when he announces his third selection. This time, he sings the words of the song title, looking especially cute as he does so! “A Whole New World” is the title track from Aladdin (1992).

His last two selections occupy Disney’s 2nd and 1st positions. They are “Let It Go” and “You Got a Friend In Me” from Frozen (2013) and Toy Story (1995). As he blurts out the final title, his words are a little unclear—like the language of most kindergarten kids.

Alas, this is no ordinary little boy! He finishes up, and bids viewers farewell with a big wave and a “byyye.” Jelijah may be a musical genius or a prodigy, or he may just be a kid who loves music and appreciates a challenge. That’s what he told Jennifer Hudson back in the fall of 2023.

After Jelijah told Ms. Hudson that he wants to be both an “astronaut and Mozart” so that he might fulfill his dream of playing the piano on the moon, the star asked him why he wants to do such a thing. Jelijah responded, “Because it’s challenging. I like challenges.”

Mr. Diaz, we like you!

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” 3 John 1:4

Through their voices, we glimpse the beauty of creation and the boundless depths of love. May their music continue to inspire, uplift, and unite us all as we journey together through the harmonies of life. Amen.

Ben Fuller And Megan Danielle Stunning 'If I Got Jesus' Duet Performance

Christian musicians Ben Fuller and Megan Danielle have teamed up for a stunning and powerful duet, “If I Got Jesus.”

The world is a lost and dying place full of hurting and struggling people who are crying out for some sign that things will get better. They are looking for hope and love, someone to show that they care about them.

Thankfully for us and everyone else in the world, there is one who can do all that and more. Jesus Christ paid the price, willingly going to the cross. The repercussions of His brutal and agonizing death and resurrection give hope to a tired, lost and weary world.

Christ freely offers His love and forgiveness to all who call upon His name. It’s a gift that transforms hearts and lives. Without Jesus Christ, none of us would have a chance. We would all be lost, still living in our sin and shame.

In a clip posted on social media, Ben and Megan, a runner-up on American Idol, sing “If I Got Jesus.” It’s a beautifully written song about the difference Christ has made in their life and how if they lost everything but still had Him, they’d have all they need.

“There’s a hope that’s living deep inside

A joy that I could never hide

And a safe place to fall

If I’ve got Jesus, I’ve got it all”

Both musicians turn in charming and stellar vocal performances as they sing about the wonderful and life-changing work of Jesus Christ.

“If I Got Jesus” is a powerful song that will likely make you consider whether you have that same attitude. What would happen, and how would we react if, like Job, everything was taken away? Would we respond like Job did? It’s certainly something to think about.

Galatians 2:20 “I have been put to death on the cross with Christ; still I am living; no longer I, but Christ is living in me; and that life which I now and living in the flesh I am living by faith, the faith of the Son of God, who in love for me, gave himself up for me.”

Kelly Clarkson Impresses with 'Mind Your Own Business' Hank Williams Cover

Kelly Clarkson turned in an impressive and awe-inspiring cover performance of “Mind Your Own Business,” a tune from Hank Williams.

Music is near and dear to many people. Everyone has their favorite genre, band, singer and song. Musical tastes are personal, and when someone criticizes or says something that could be interpreted as unfavorable about a song or a band that we like, we tend to take that personally.

Every genre of music has avid and passionate fans. However, country music has arguably the most committed, passionate and sincere supporters. As such, there are some country music artists about whom you should not say a negative word unless you want to bring on the wrath of country music fans. Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Loretta Lynn are just some of those musicians who are off-limits in terms of criticism.

Hank Williams, a legendary country musician, is one of those performers who would qualify for that exclusive category. That also means that when trying to cover a song by one of those artists, the person doing it better bring their best effort or they will likely hear about it.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the original American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, took a stab at a Hank Williams song: “Mind Your Own Business.”

“Why don’t you mind your business?

Mind your own business

‘Cause if you mind your business, then you won’t mindin’ mine”

She absolutely knocked it out of the park! Her voice and the musical accompaniment infuse the lyrics with energy and enthusiasm. You could easily listen to her version repeatedly without getting tired of it.

Kelly is such a talented musician that she can sing tunes that others simply cannot or should not attempt. She also makes it appear effortless, seeming never to strain or try too hard to hit some of those higher notes.

Dennis Quaid Delivers Mesmerizing 'I'll Fly Away' Cover

Longtime Hollywood actor Dennis Quaid delivered a mesmerizing cover of the beloved hymn "I’ll Fly Away.”

No one is destined to remain on Earth forever. Everyone’s time on this planet is limited. Sin was unleashed on the world with a bite of the fruit back in the Garden of Eden, and now all will face death at one time or another. It’s a sad and ironic part of life.

However, the death of one’s physical body is most certainly not the end. After one’s time on Earth has expired, there are two destinations available, and we have a decision to make as to which place we go. Heaven has been set aside for those who have confessed their sins, accepted Christ into their hearts and lives, and turned away from their old ways, becoming new creatures in Christ.

While death is and likely always will be one of people’s greatest fears, it doesn’t have to be that way. There is much uncertainty surrounding death. However, as actor Dennis Quaid sings in a clip posted on YouTube, that does not have to be the case.

Dennis performs an upbeat and energetic cover of the timeless and beloved tune “I’ll Fly Away.” It’s a song about knowing death is coming but looking at it joyfully because they know where they are headed once their life on Earth is over and done.

“I’ll fly away, oh glory

I will fly away in the morning

When I die, hallelujah by and by

I will fly away”

Everyone feels like they have plenty of time on Earth left. We may have decades or a few days – no one can be entirely sure how long their lives will last. No one is promised tomorrow. Why put accepting Christ and welcoming Him into your heart and life off?

Romans 6:23 “For the reward of sin is death; but what God freely gives is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Band With Members On The Autism Spectrum Wows On The Kelly Clarkson Show

This is a heartwarming reminder to love people well. Band with members on the autism spectrum wows on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Kelly so kindly welcomes this sweet group of young people who are known as the ASD Band. The lead singer is very sweet and tells Kelly that she was her biggest inspiration growing up and that she sang “Breakaway” for her 3rd-grade talent show.

As the band is being introduced, each band member has a fun personality. The band director plays the bass for them. The lead singer shares that he helps them elevate the songs. Kelly says that she has a band director, too.

The lead singer shares that being on the spectrum helps her become a stronger musician. Jackson the drummer says that playing drums helps to focus his brain. It is “stimming” for him. The band director shares how renewing it has been to be in this band. They do not argue. They understand each other and work together as a team.

Their new album is called “Almost Flawless.” The ASD Band writes their own songs. After the interview, the ASD Band performed one of their songs called “Fireflies.” The lyrics say, “We’re different but not less.” It is an encouraging message to anyone on the spectrum or living around others on the spectrum in their families or communities.

We, as the body of Christ, are called to love all people in the name of Jesus. This includes those on the Autism Spectrum. This interview and song remind us that all people are made in the image of God. We are all in a broken world and everyone has different challenges and giftings. No matter what we face, or what others around us face, we can invite the gospel of Jesus into our day to day. We can love people with autism.

Sisters’ Harmonious Rendition of “Dreams” by The Cranberries

The Woodgies bring sister harmonies to new heights with their rendition of “Dreams” by The Cranberries. Seated and singing from a church pew, the beauties sound like angels!

Hannah Leah and Meghan Woodger, the duo known as The Woodgies, were born in Ireland and have been raised in Geneva, Switzerland. After posting their first single, “Holding Hands,” on YouTube in 2021, the pair was noticed and signed by a record label within days! They released their first album on October 1, 2021, under the Swiss label Escudero Records. In addition, the sisters were winners of the Montreux Jazz Festival’s Swiss Rising Talent contest. They have “exploded” onto the Swiss music scene!

Regularly performing in Switzerland, France, and in the pubs of Ireland, the Pop-Folk duo’s music and voices have been described as: enchanting and bewitching, melodic and melancholic, hopeful, delicate, soothing, and authentic. That’s high praise for two sisters who entered the music business just three years ago. Indeed, their version of “Dreams” encompasses a bit of each.

Hashtagged “acoustic covers” and “natural reverb,” their voices bounce and blend beautifully inside the walls of the stained-glass-windowed church. Not only are they performing without any electronic instruments (hence, acoustic), but they are also singing a cappella.

Hannah Leah and Meghan note on their Instagram post that the Irish rock band, the Cranberries is one of their favorite bands. “Dreams,” first released in September of 1992, was the debut single of the band.

Here are four lines from the first chorus of the hit song:

Because it came from you

Then I open up and see

The person falling here is me

A different way to be

The Woodgies find inspiration from Simon & Garfunkel, First Aid Kit, and Tom Rosenthal. Their website notes that the music “welcomes listeners into a journey through life’s trials and tribulations as seen through a young person’s eyes.”

The Woodgies are the ones to watch. Abundantly blessed with heavenly voices, Hannah Leah and Meghan are surely blessing their fans with their songs!
