5 A Cappella Men Of Home Free Sing ‘Oh, Pretty Woman’

A group of unbelievably talented vocalists - Home Free - gave a fun and catchy performance, providing their rendition of a classic tune from the 1960s.

The 1960s was a decade that produced dozens of classic songs, many of which are still in heavy rotation today. In addition to the radio, hits from the 1960s are often heard in movies, television programs and commercials. One can't help but get nostalgic and tap a toe when hearing songs like “I Get Around” from The Beach Boys, The Archies’ “Sugar, Sugar” or any 60s-era song from The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

One iconic song that continues to be heard on radio and TV and is, arguably, more beloved and influential than anything from The Beach Boys or The Doors is Roy Orbison’s “Oh, Pretty Woman.” In a clip posted on YouTube, the guys from Home Free put their spin on the 1962 hit.

“Pretty woman, walkin’ down the street
Pretty woman, the kind I like to meet
Pretty woman, I don’t believe you, you’re not the truth
No one could look as good as you, mercy!”

In keeping with the era in which the song was released, the guys went all out, making sure their wardrobe and look helped to transport listeners and viewers back to the 1960s. They donned dark shades, bright, shiny gold-colored jackets, and black slacks. All five members even sport pompadours.

But the guys didn’t stop with their clothing. The mics they use in the 2-minute clip look like something the legendary Elvis Presley or the incomparable Patsy Cline would have used to serenade a crowd of adoring fans.

Oh yeah, in addition to their 60s-era look, there is Home Free’s incredibly delightful and upbeat, toe-tapping cover of the Roy Orbison classic. While no one will mistake it for the original Roy Orbison version, the guys still produce a fantastic and enjoyable cover.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

5 A Cappella Men Of Home Free Sing ‘Life Is A Highway’

A handful of supremely talented vocalists turned in a catchy, toe-tapping performance of a song previously recorded by the popular country music group Rascal Flatts.

One of the best ways to describe life is as a journey. Twists, turns and unexpected detours abound on the highway of life. Some destinations are fun, thrilling and exciting, providing picture-perfect views and creating lifelong, deeply cherished memories. Other places along the road of life are much less enjoyable and can even be painful and heartbreaking. Regardless, life is a journey. It’s a highway, and we’re all constantly moving along life’s road, never staying in one place for too long.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the group Home Free performed “Life is a Highway.” It’s a tune about traveling all the twists, turns, bends and unexpected detours in life and taking all of it in stride.

However, part of that journey, which the song mentions, is about finding the right person for the trip. As everyone knows, road trips are always much more enjoyable and fun with someone else. Life is no different. No one knows what obstacles or problems will crop up in life, but having the love and support of someone willing to stand by your side through everything can and will make all the difference.

“Through all these cities and all these towns
It’s in my blood, and it’s all around
I love you now like I loved you then
This is the road, and these are the hands”

Home Free’s cover of “Life is a Highway” is more than worth a few listens and plays.

As their video shows, it appears that the guys had an absolute ball covering the song and putting their own twist on the catchy, upbeat tune. All that fun and enjoyment translates to the recording. The guys have created a delightful and pleasant cover.

Isaiah 62:10 “Go through, go through the doors; make ready the way of the people; let the highway be lifted up; let the stones be taken away; let a flag be lifted up over the peoples.”

Adorable Little Girl Sings ‘Grandpa (Tell Me ‘Bout The Good Old Days)’

An immensely talented little lady turned in an absolutely dazzling and lovely performance of a beloved tune from the legendary country music duo, The Judds.

The world is often a confusing and hurtful place. People tend to say one thing and do another. They make a promise or a vow and then don’t hold up their end of the deal or break it altogether. It’s enough to make most people yearn for a simpler time when someone’s word meant something.

In a clip posted on YouTube, one young member of the Detty Sisters, a popular singing group, gives a cute performance of The Judds’ classic “Grandpa (Tell Me ‘Bout the Good Old Days).’”

Of course, as evidenced by the song’s title, it’s a tune about a youngster asking their grandfather to recount stories of simple and less confusing times. They desire to know of the past and when families stayed together and prayed before meals.

“Did lovers really fall in love to say
And stand beside each other, come what may?
Was a promise really something people kept and then forget
Did families really bow their heads and pray?
Did daddies really never go away?”

The young woman’s vocal performance is outstanding. The original, from Wynonna and Naomi, will never be topped. It doesn't matter who happens to cover it. However, this young lady does turn in a thoroughly enjoyable and pleasant version. It’s a rendition that could be listened to several times before someone reaches their limit and moves on to the next song.

She usually sings with other family members. But this time, she is all on her own, and she nails it. In addition to her vocal performance, the little girl appears to have an absolute ball as she sings and dances along to the Judds’ classic.

Ronnie Booth Performs The Iconic Glen Campbell Hit “Rhinestone Cowboy”

Savor this bit of nostalgia as Ronnie Booth performs the iconic Glen Campbell hit, “Rhinestone Cowboy,” at Gaither Studios in Alexandria, Indiana. It’s a delight!

Ronnie Booth is not Glen Campbell, but he does look a little like Dale Midkiff from the Love Comes Softly series. And he does a right fair job of singing the classic Campbell tune!

However, even the writer of “Rhinestone Cowboy” didn’t do it like Mr. Campbell. Larry Weiss wrote and recorded the song in 1974, but it didn’t have much success in the United States; it did reach #71 in Australia in August of that year.

Evidently, Glen Campbell heard the song while touring in Australia, learned it, and was eager to accept when Capitol Records approached him about recording “a great new song.” Music industry insiders noted that Mr. Campbell identified with the song’s subject matter right away.

The idea of surviving hard times and persevering when the chips are down really resonated with the artist. Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic  described the song as one about a veteran artist "who's aware that he's more than paid his dues during his career ... but is still surviving, and someday, he'll shine just like a rhinestone cowboy.”

Here are a few lines from “Rhinestone Cowboy:”

I've been walkin' these streets so long
Singin' the same old song
I know every crack in these dirty sidewalks of Broadway
Where hustle's the name of the game

When Glen Campbell’s version of “Rhinestone Cowboy” was released in May, 1975, it became an instant hit. It seems he was the best person to sing the catchy classic, but it’s sure nice that Mr. Booth performs it so well here. Ronnie’s rich tones, combined with the drum beats, electric guitar, piano, and strings, bring us right back there! Definitely a fun blast from the past!

Glen Campbell died in 2017 at the age of 81. He was laid to rest at the Campbell family cemetery in Billstown, Arkansas, but it’s not hard to imagine him blinged out and singing this and so many others in some beautiful arena far north of here!

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. Romans 5:3

Bluegrass Family Band Performs 'Shenandoah'

The Peterson’s bluegrass family band performs a stunning version of ‘Shenandoah.’

These Missouri natives will stun you with their talent. Folk songs are perhaps one of the most recognizable music pieces played at festivals. gatherings, and concerts. The Petersen family are no strangers to folk music.

Surrounded by the Ozark mountains, this sibling group learns about the deep American history the Missouri River holds. The beloved song ‘Shenandoah’ became a popular song among Canadian and American fur traders traveling down the Missouri River in canoes.

By the mid-1800s, various versions of the song had been adopted by travelers worldwide. The meaning of Shenandoah means “Beautiful Daughter of the Stars,” and its legendary story describes Shenonadoah as a beautiful like found in the mountains of Virginia. But others believe the song Shenandoah was about a traveler who fell in love with a Native American daughter of a chief. Regardless of its historical roots, it has become a beloved Bluegrass classic.

In a clip posted on YouTube showcases the rich and wide range of octaves among the family including the various types of instruments they play. Surrounded by the lush forest of the Ozarks, the song begins with the violin, followed by the bass, banjo, and guitar before Katie’s enchanting voice as Ellen and Julianne provide a beautiful harmony.

Oh Shenandoah, I long to see you Look away rollin' river
Oh Shenandoah, I long to hear you Look away,
I'm bound away
Across the wide Missouri

The Petersen group is made up of Katie, Ellen, Matt, and Julianne, their mother Karen, and family friend Emmett Franz. They were first introduced to Bluegrass music at a festival in 2003. This encounter captured their hearts and they fell in love with the sound, the history, and what Bluegrass music is all about.

The Petersens family had played in front of live audiences for the last decade before branching out with YouTube. They are blessed to share their lives and what happens behind the scenes in their personal lives. The family loves to share their stories and music with fans. They are incredibly blessed and humbled to share their passion and talent.

We hope you enjoy this beautiful rendition of Shenandoah as much as the Petersens enjoyed performing. God bless them for sharing their musical gifts with the world.

Trio Performs Dolly Parton Classic 'Coat Of Many Colors'

A trio of gifted musicians perform Dolly Parton’s classic ‘Coat Of Many Colors.’

This classic country song became a hit for Dolly back in 1968. It spoke about a treasured coat that a girl’s mother sewed for her out of scrap pieces. Even though the coat may look funny to some people, it was a priceless gift to this young girl. We may not be rich. In fact, most of us are barely getting by but a mother’s love and her tireless giving create a foundation of love, faith, and contentment.

“As she sewed, she told a story from the Bible, she had read
About a coat of many colors Joseph wore and then she said
Perhaps this coat will bring you good luck and happiness
And I just couldn't wait to wear it”

The classic song has been a favorite cover song over the years. Today’s music video captures the simply beautiful talent of three young adults, two ladies and a gentleman playing guitars and the electric piano. Third Fret Harmony is a family music group with about 4,000 subscribers that plays country, and gospel music from famous country artists like Vince Gill, Wylon Jennings, and more.

This beautiful song not only reminds us of a mother’s love but also describes the process of humility, pride, acceptance, and hope. Dolly had been teased mercilessly about the rags her mother sewed into a coat. Once Dolly understood the depth of her mother’s love, she tried to get her bullies to see how it was a beautiful gift.

In the end, no one else’s opinion mattered to Dolly except her own. I imagine those who listen to this song will no doubt find themselves in a healing process as God heals the wounds of hurt, rejection, or being teased.

May the rendition from Third Fret Harmony be a musical gift of God’s acceptance regardless of your past. May it be a reminder of acceptance even though our lives are currently a mess. May it be a reminder we are rich in Christ even if we are poor.

Romans 11:15 “For since their rejection meant that God offered salvation to the rest of the world, their acceptance will be even more wonderful. It will be life for those who were dead!”

American Idol Winner Iam Tongi ‘If I Could Only Fly’ Acoustic Video

American Idol winner Iam Tongi has turned in a stunning and moving performance of a classic country music tune, “If I Could Only Fly.”

Iam is a talented young man with a sweet and melodic voice from God Himself. During his time on American Idol, Iam consistently met and exceeded the judges and the studio audience’s expectations. The reason why he would eventually go on to win the top spot on the show was evident to all.

Since the show ended, Iam has continued to show why he was named the winner of American Idol’s season 21. He has put out several videos on YouTube showcasing his beautiful voice and immense musical talent, which now includes a cover of “If I Could Only Fly.” "If I Could Only Fly" is a tune previously performed by country music legend Merle Haggard.

Iam’s soothing and beautiful voice, which is always full of so much emotion, is a perfect fit for the sad love song about two people longing to be together and reunited.

“If I could only fly, If I could only fly
I’d bid this place goodbye to come and be with you
But I can hardly stand, and I got nowhere to run
Another sinking sun, and one more lonely night”

This is another fantastic and lovely performance from a musically gifted young man. There likely isn’t a song or genre that Iam could not sing. He knocks every single performance and cover out of the park, a statement sure to get near 100% agreement.

With the overwhelming amount of emotion in his voice, Iam immediately pulls any and every audience into the song. He makes you feel the weight, the meaning and the feeling behind the song’s lyrics. He connects with his audience and does so in such an effortless way.

Ephesians 5:19 “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”

Country Singer Kacey Musgraves Covers Elvis’ Classic ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’

An immensely popular and talented musician, Kacey Musgraves, turned in a chilling rendition of an Elvis Presley classic, “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

Elvis Presley, even decades after his passing, remains one of the biggest names in all of entertainment. Simply saying his first name is enough for most people to understand you’re talking about the man with the Memphis, Tennessee, mansion and the blue suede shoes.

His songs and unmistakable voice are iconic, with many still trying to imitate the “King of Rock and Roll.” He had a massive amount of undeniable talent, starring on the screen and the concert stage. Elvis’ songs are heavily covered and heard to this day, nearly 50 years after his passing.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Kacey Musgraves is just the latest artist to cover a hit from the King of Rock and Roll. She gives an utterly dazzling performance of “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

“Take my hand
Take my whole life too
For I can’t help falling in love with you
For I can’t help falling in love with you”

Kacey’s beautiful voice and the simple but sweet and memorable lyrics are a perfect match. Her rendition is one that even the most diehard Elvis Presley fan is sure to enjoy. She doesn’t take many chances with the song, changing essentially nothing with the tune. But classics are considered classics for a reason, right?

Others, writing on YouTube, expressed their admiration for Kacey’s cover of the Elvis love song.

“Beautiful rendition of Elvis’s song Kacey is fabulous,” one person wrote.

“We really were So moved by this! In tears! This was so beautiful! Elvis would be so touched and moved,” someone else added.

Kacey sang her Elvis cover in front of his Tennessee home, Graceland. Her performance was part of NBC’s special “Christmas at Graceland.”

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Bluegrass Group Southern Raised Performs Stunning Version Of ‘Rocky Top’

An unbelievably talented group of musicians turned in a stunning rendition of a classic and beloved tune about a town in Tennessee.

No matter where someone may be in the world, it likely won’t ever top home sweet home. The best vacation spots are fun, but nothing will ever be better than the love, familiarity and calm of home. Home, as the old saying goes, is where the heart is.

In a clip posted on YouTube, bluegrass group Southern Raised used their musical skills and God-given talent to churn out a terrific rendition of “Rocky Top.” It’s a classic tune where the original songwriters and performers were wishing and longing for their home – Rocky Top, Tennessee.

“Rocky Top, you’ll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ol’ Rocky Top
Rocky Top, Tennessee
Rocky Top, Tennessee”

The four performers gave an outstanding performance, knocking it out of the park. The vocal performances are smooth, soothing and simply beautiful. The clip posted on YouTube is worth several plays to hear those vocal performances.

However, the real star of the cover is the musicians’ awe-inspiring proficiency on their instruments. The four gifted musicians move their hands up and down and across their selected instruments at a rapid-fire pace. Despite that blazing speed, none of the musicians missed a single note throughout the nearly 3-and-a-half-minute clip.

Others were also thoroughly impressed with Southern Raised’s cover of “Rocky Top.” They shared their thoughts and feelings on the video’s YouTube link.

“Being from the mountains of southern East Tennessee living on slow time, having picked a banjo most of my life, and understand getting corn from a jar, I found myself in awe of your version of Rocky Top! Thank you! Thank you for sharing this wonderful song,” one person wrote.

“The Osbourne Brothers would be absolutely proud and honored y’all absolutely nailed this song!! Absolutely loved this!!” someone else added.

“Really enjoy y’all’s music. Thank you for sharing your God given gifts to bring joy to others. Keep it coming!” a third individual posted.

Proverbs 95:1 “O come, let us make songs to the Lord; sending up glad voices to the Rock of our salvation.”

8-Year-Old Violinist Performs Celine Dion’s ‘My Heart Will Go On’

A talented 8-year-old girl who can play the violin and carry a tune joined violinist Karolina Protsenko and her mother for a lovely performance of Celine Dion’s classic, “My Heart Will Go On.”

Speaking and performing in public is a major fear for most of the population. Having all those people watching and silently judging your every move is admittedly a frightening scenario. Sadly, it’s enough to keep a lot of people from ever pursuing a passion or a dream.

However, one young woman, Emily Minko, at just 8 years old, seems to have conquered that fear. In a clip posted on YouTube, the little lady performed with Karolina on the side of a busy street in front of a sizable crowd as others watched while passing by.

But instead of playing it safe and going with a song many aren’t familiar with, they went with “My Heart Will Go On.” Of course, it’s Celine Dion’s hit tune from one of the biggest movies of all time – “Titanic.”

The song begins with Emily strumming along on her violin as Karolina’s mother tickles the ivories on a keyboard. After a few seconds of Emily playing solo, Karolina joins in, playing the lovely and memorable classic track.

Then, at approximately the 2-minute mark in the clip, the violin-playing youngster steps up to the microphone and shows off her vocal skills, singing solo. She sounds a bit nervous and perhaps even a little unsure of herself. However, the young woman does a fantastic job and does not miss or flub a single lyric.

Karolina’s mother also shows off her musical talent. Not only does she play the keyboard, but she also beautifully belts out the words of the Celine Dion tune.

Those who gathered to take in the delightful performance thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the trio’s inspired display. At the song’s conclusion, they give the three women a much-deserved round of applause.

Psalm 104:33 “I will make songs to the Lord all my life; I will make melody to my God while I have my being.”

Brad Paisley Performs Hilarious Song About Marriage

Country music superstar Brad Paisley has been married for 20 years, and on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he performed a hilarious tune about one of the keys to a happy, loving and long-lasting marriage.

Marriage is a life-changing and lifelong commitment between two people. It’s a promise that no matter what happens in life – good or bad – those two people will remain together forever. As anyone knows, marriage is not always easy. In fact, there will be tough times and periods of disagreement. But having a sense of humor can go a long way in creating a happy and healthy relationship.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Brad sang an original tune of his, which he says he wrote for his now-wife after she asked him to write a song for her. She wanted something special for their wedding day.

Originally, he says he remembers being a little annoyed at her request. But eventually, he gave in and wrote his now-wife a song. It’s a song he has never released and one that he performed for her on their wedding day.

In the clip, Brad reaches over the couch, picks up a guitar, and is soon strumming along on the instrument, singing the lyrics to the laugh-out-loud song about marriage.

The song begins with Brad singing how the love of his life is not into big, flashy gifts or displays of affection. She doesn’t even want jewelry or another dress. Instead, he has learned, he sings, one much easier way to show her how much he cares.

“If I want to show her how much I adore her
The best way that I’ve found
Is to make sure when I’m finished
I put that toilet seat down”

Jimmy and the entire studio audience erupted with laughter and applause at Brad’s hysterically funny song.

Genesis 2:24 “For this cause will a man go away from his father and his mother and be joined to his wife; and they will be one flesh.”

The video showcases the duo, adorned in Santa hats, singing alongside their vocal coach, Cheryl Porter, spreading festive cheer by tossing snowballs, sharing delectable bites from a charcuterie board, and cookies, and dancing with presents. 'The Wings That Fly Us Home’ John Denver 1993 Live Performance

The late, legendary singer-songwriter John Denver gave a moving and stirring performance of his beloved hit song “The Wings That Fly Us Home” during a 1993 concert.

Life is often a confusing and unpredictable journey. Many twists, turns and detours abound along the road of life. Sometimes, through no fault of our own, life will take us to places that we never imagined or envisioned. These many unexpected ups and downs will leave us with no shortage of questions.

In a clip posted on YouTube, John, during a September 1993 concert, addresses the audience ahead of playing “The Wings The Fly Us Home.” He provided some of the backstory of the classic tune and how it came to be because of his friend and writer Joe Henry.

John confesses that he and Joe have written several songs together. He explains that on more than one occasion, following a conversation between him and Joe, he’ll wake up to find a poem written by Joe about their topic of conversation. John will then take that poem and his guitar and add some music.

“The Wings That Fly Us Home” is a beautifully written and performed song. It’s a tune that poses a series of deep, philosophical rhetorical questions about life. Like all similar questions, some have an easy answer. Others may take some time and thinking to formulate a proper or accurate response.

“There are many ways of being in the circle we call life
A wise man seeks an answer, burns his candle through the night
Is a jewel just a pebble that found a way to shine
Is a hero’s blood more righteous than a hobo’s sip of wine”

In addition to the questions the song poses, John also provides an outstanding vocal performance, as always. His recognizable, melodic, soft and soothing voice is one that could be listened to for hours.

At the end of his performance, the audience erupts with a thunderous and well-deserved round of applause.

Ephesians 5:19 “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord:”

Pentatonix Performs Holiday Medley Of ‘Pure Imagination’ And ‘Christmas Time Is Here’

The unbelievably talented vocalists who make up the Grammy Award-winning group Pentatonix have delivered yet another fantastic Christmas-themed performance.

Getting universal or near-universal agreement on any topic is essentially impossible today. Most issues are highly polarized, with deep, passionate views on both sides of any and all topics. This often leads to heated arguments and raised tempers and blood pressure. But one statement most people are likely to agree with is that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year.

In a video posted on YouTube, the a cappella group Pentatonix turned in an utterly dazzling performance singing about the Christmas season. They flex their vocal muscles as they sing a startlingly unique Christmas medley. Their tune is a combination of “Christmas Time is Here” and “Pure Imagination,” a song from the beloved film, “Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory.”

“Christmas time is here
Happiness and cheer
Fun for all that children call
Their favorite time of year”

Pentatonix is a group that has continually impressed throughout the years with their astounding and mind-blowing ability to create music solely with their voice. Once again, that is most definitely the case with this Christmas-themed mashup.

Their “Pure Imagination/Christmas Time is Here” medley immediately transports listeners to a simpler, less confusing and much less argumentative time. Listeners, as they listen to this combination repeatedly, will probably find themselves thinking about and longing to relive moments of Christmases long since passed. The nostalgia is strong with this tune from the award-winning group.

Others who commented on the YouTube video wholeheartedly agree with that assessment.

“Aw man, this is one of the y’all’s best arrangements this year. So light and ethereal, love it,” one person wrote.

“Pentatonix, you have outdone yourselves again! This mashup is incredibly beautiful and magnificent. I am constantly amazed by your incredible talent. You make me so proud to be your fan,” another individual added

The group could have easily been one-and-done, a one-hit wonder. But they have constantly reinvented themselves musically, using their God-given talent to maximum effect.

Psalm 105:2 “Sing to him, sing psalms to him: talk you of all his wondrous works.”

‘Fancy Like Christmas’ Walker Hayes Holiday Remix

A country singer, Walker Hayes, has reworked his massively popular hit single, “Fancy,” and gave it more of a Christmas sound and feel.

During any given visit to the local movie theater, one will likely find an assortment of sequels, prequels and superhero films playing. Similarly, spinoffs and reboots litter television and streaming platforms. The lesson here is, of course, that if something is financially successful once, Hollywood will continue to milk that formula for all its worth.

Apparently, that type of thinking has now reached recording artists as well. Country music singer Walker Hayes had a massive hit with “Fancy” several years ago. At the time, the song was everywhere. It was on pop and country radio stations and even in commercials.

Well, now Walker is back with another “Fancy” song. But instead of “bourbon street steak with an Oreo shake,” he’s going with eggnog and a fruit cake, opting for more of a festive, holiday feel. Yes, Walker Hayes is now “Fancy Like Christmas.”

Those even a little bit familiar with Walker’s original “Fancy” will instantly spot the identical sound in “Fancy Like Christmas.” He changed the lyrics some to include words describing activities and seasonal food items around the Christmas season.

“Yeah, we fancy like Christmas round a fake tree
Nutcracker on the mantle and a candy cane candle
Get your eggnog, witcha fruit cake
Go, Jesus, it’s your birthday”

Despite the nearly identical sound, Walker’s Christmas-themed tune seems to have found an audience. Several people commented on the YouTube link and mentioned how much they loved and adored this version.

“Walker Hayes is incredible!! He could sing the phone book and it would be a hit,” one person wrote.

“Move over Mariah Carey there’s a new song in town. Love it!” a second person added

“The new Christmas song that is going to be on repeat all day. Love it Walker. Plz (sic) make more,” another individual posted

7-Year-Old Crooner Goes Viral Belting Out Classic Tunes

One young man has gotten a lot of attention online for his musical ability and for the way he commands a room and owns a stage.

The entertainment field is a difficult field in which to secure steady, gainful employment. Many people hope and dream of someday doing such, but only a few are able to achieve that goal. That’s because to do so requires not only a ton of talent, and a few breaks here and there, but also the “it” factor – an unexplained, unteachable kind of charisma that attracts every eyeball in any given room.

One little guy, 7-year-old Marcello, has talent and charisma in spades, as a video posted to TikTok clearly shows. In the short, minute-long clip, the young man confidently sings “Beyond the Sea,” a tune performed by Bobby Darin.

As the clip plays, the news anchors, talking over the clip, state that the little guy’s impressive performance happened during a party celebrating his parent's wedding anniversary.

While many people would have batted away the microphone and shied from the spotlight, the 7-year-old crooner did not. Little Marcello clearly has no fear of performing in front of a crowd.

He confidently struts around the room, decked out in a purple suit. At one point in the clip, he directs the crowd to get involved, telling them to “make some noise.” His confidence and charm easily win over the crowd’s affection.

The room lets Marcello know how much they love his performance, and he basks in every second of it, playing to the crowd.

The news anchors speaking over Marcello’s “Beyond the Sea” cover mention how they were also thoroughly impressed with the young man’s charisma and ability to own a room.

“Check out how he owns the room,” one man says. “The crowd obviously loving him, and, in the end, he got a much-deserved standing ovation.”

“Oh my gosh! That’s the cutest thing ever,” a female anchor responds to Marcello’s crowd-pleasing performance.

Psalm 95:1 “O come, let us make songs to the Lord; sending up glad voices to the Rock of our salvation.”

Rare Male Soprano Sings Opera

One young man has been able to use his unique and very different voice to tremendous effect, performing operatic parts typically reserved for women.

There are no two people who are the same. The Lord specializes in creating and developing unique individuals. He blesses everyone with a specific set of skills, talents and gifts, which are to be used to bring glory and honor to His name. Now, those gifts and skills that set people apart from one another may be more apparent in some than in others.

Samuel Mariño is one of those people who has been blessed with a God-given gift and talent that not few possess. Samuel has a lovely, pleasing singing voice, able to belt the lyrics to some of the most beautiful songs ever written.

However, Samuel has a voice that allows him to sing the soprano parts in those tunes, a rare occurrence and ability for a male singer. Typically, soprano singers are women who reach for and hit some impressively high notes. To have a man who is able to do this is extremely rare indeed, according to Sunny Skyz

In a clip posted on TikTok, Samuel puts his beautiful voice on full display, singing along as an orchestra backs him up during the performance. One could easily listen to Samuel’s voice and delightful tone for quite some time without growing tired.

Unfortunately, life was not always easy for the man with a distinct voice. Samuel explains that his voice never broke, and so he does not have a noticeable Adam’s apple. Samuel was not the only person who noticed the uniqueness of his voice.

“It was quite hard for me in high school, to all this bullying, people bullying me,” Samuel said. “And it was very tough.”

Later in the clip, Samuel mentions that the first suggestion that he give opera a try came from an expected source.

“So a doctor told me, ‘Why you don’t try to sing opera?’” he said.

Garth Brooks And Trisha Yearwood Sing ‘Imagine’ At Rosalynn Carter’s Memorial

Two of the biggest names in country music – Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood – turned in a moving and emotional performance of a John Lennon classic at the memorial service for former First Lady Rosalynn Carter.

Sadly, because of sin, death is a part of life. All will experience it at one time or another. But even before that point, death is something that has likely touched and impacted everyone’s life. Losing a loved one, regardless of the circumstances, will always be a time of grief, pain and sorrow. But while time may remove some of that sting and hurt, their absence will forever be noticeable.

Rosalynn Carter, the wife of the 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter, passed away at 96 years old. A memorial service for the former first lady and Georgia native brought many recognizable people together to remember and commemorate her life.

Two of those people who attended Rosalynn’s service were musicians Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood. Not only were they in attendance, but they also performed “Imagine,” a classic song from the late John Lennon.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Garth strums on a guitar as his wife, Trisha, sings the beloved tune. Garth joins in and sings sporadically, stepping to the microphone to belt out a few lyrics. But for the most part, Trisha shoulders the singing responsibilities.

“You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one”

At the conclusion of their touching and solemn performance, several give the talented couple a hearty round of applause.

Also, right before the clip ends, the camera focuses on Rosalynn's casket. Trisha is spotted walking over as she momentarily places a hand on the casket.

Prayers go out to the Carter family in their time of grief.

Revelation 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

‘Honky Tonk Christmas’ Alan Jackson Music Video

Country music legend Alan Jackson sings a catchy, upbeat tune about missing and getting over his significant other during the Christmas season.

Often, Christmas is considered to be the most wonderful time of the entire year. It’s a season typically filled with friends, family, traditions and other activities. Much like the food at a Christmas celebration, there is usually plenty of joy and happiness present to go around.

But sometimes, especially following the loss of a loved one or even a recent break-up, getting through the Christmas season can be a tall task, a monumental chore. Alan Jackson, in his song “Honky Tonk Christmas,” sings about a break-up around the Christmas season. He’s no doubt experiencing pain, but he’s sure that he’ll make it, even if “those silent nights at home are killing” him.

In the song’s opening verse, Alan is in so much pain that he even sarcastically thanks the woman who broke his heart. Also, despite his pain and anguish, he still goes on to wish her a Merry Christmas. Whether that’s genuine or not remains to be seen. Most (myself included) would state that it’s not a sincere desire from Alan.

“Pretty Paper is playing on the jukebox
And mistletoe is hanging above the bar
I want to thank you for this broken heart that I’ve got
Merry Christmas, girl
Wherever in the world you are”

However, despite what he’s going through, Alan sings that he knows he’ll be fine by New Year’s. But until then, it’s going to be a “Honky Tonk Christmas.” What a “honky tonk Christmas” is isn’t exactly clear, but given the rest of the song’s lyrics, it’s not something anyone wants to experience.

Much like Elvis Presley’s “Blue Christmas", which Alan references in the second verse, “Honky Tonk Christmas” is a tune about missing someone and hurting during the Christmas season. Luckily, we serve a God who provides comfort and healing during those times of extreme pain and loneliness.

John 16:33 “I have said all these things to you so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble: but take heart! I have overcome the world.”

A Cappella Men of Home Free Sing ‘Stand By Me’

A group of talented vocalists, Home Free, turned in an inspiring and upbeat performance of a beloved classic tune from the 1960s, “Stand By Me.”

Despite what some may believe and think, human beings possess the ability to do some pretty incredible things. The Lord has blessed people with many different skills and talents. Those are not gifts He hands out simply to be doing so or without an intended purpose. Instead, He wants us to diligently use those gifts in a way that brings glory and honor to His name.

One way humans have amazed is by creating spectacular and awe-inspiring works through sound. Music is one of the many areas in which the Lord has blessed individuals, giving them the skills and talents to make beautiful and pleasing sounds to the ear. In a clip posted on YouTube, five gentlemen, Home Free, demonstrate their outstanding voices with ease by giving an a cappella version of Ben E. King’s 1962 classic “Stand by Me.”

While sitting on stools in what appears to be a small, abandoned airplane hangar, the guys, using only the sound of their voices, provide the background music and the vocals.

“If the sky that we look upon should tumble and fall
Or the mountains should crumble to the sea
I won’t cry, I won’t cry, no, no I won’t shed a tear
Just as long as you stand by me”

Their cover is a lovely and delightful version that is more than a little catchy. After listening to this rendition of the classic track a time or two, you’re likely to find yourself with the song stuck in your head, humming it for several hours.

Home Free does not change much, if anything, from the original version. There really is no need to do so either. Classics are classics for a reason. However, their rendition is still sure to please and win over those who are fans of the original.
