1. He Gives Health and Rest

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:28-30

Father, the burden of sickness that we are facing feels heavy. I am burdened and weary. I am scared and feel alone. The chaos and darkness feel greater than the goodness. Meet me here and bring health and rest. Exchange my fear and give me the faith I need to expect good things as I walk through a dark circumstance. Help me to rest in the knowledge of your sovereignty; all things exist because of your power. Remind me of your truth as my soul struggles under the weight of my circumstances. Give my child comfort and healing in every way possible. Let your grace abound. Meet our needs with your loving kindness. Amen.

2. He Is a God that Does the Unexplainable

"He said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.'" Mark 5:34

God, I thank you that you are a God that does the unexplainable so we might believe and give you the glory. You honor our faith and respond with action. Jesus let faith arise in my heart for my child! Let me have faith that you are doing a miracle even now. Let me have the peace I need to be a faithful rock to my family and community. By your grace, bring healing to my child, and don't let sickness have the last word. Do what only you can do. Amen.

3. God Is Gracious

"Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing; heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled." Psalm 6:2

God, we know that we are undeserving of your grace! Life and the chance to live it to the fullest is an expression of your abundant grace. Not only have you given us life you have given us the hope of eternity spent with you. You are a giver of good gifts because you love us. We ask that you would by grace bring healing in my home. Let us taste and know your goodness in this real and tangible way. Let us know your grace as you provide us the peace we need to face every trial this life brings. By grace give us faith, offer us comfort, and let your love go ahead of us. Amen.

4. God Gives Us a Community

"Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven." James 5:14-15

God, we thank you that in our hardest moments you are with us and you call the body of Christ to stand alongside us. I thank God for those who are praying with me for your goodness and healing to come alive in my home. Hear our prayer and be faithful to provide all that we need. Give me wisdom on who to ask and when to ask for help. Let me child be lifted up in prayer and forgive us for any way we have not followed your way. Amen.
